Summary
Having earned her freedom, former imperial army medicus Aurelia Laskaris sets upon a journey to broaden her horizons and finds herself embroiled in intrigue and adventure. Summary
Cassius tol Flavus has played many roles in his life - a thief in the cold Garlemald streets, an escort for the often bored high society, Gaius van Baelsar's lover, a begrudging soldier, and a hostage to Valens van Varro. After the fall of the VIIth Legion, he throws all such roles aside, reaching a level of desperation befitting the apparent end of the world. Novices in his year were scheduled for group practice three times a sennight; individual sessions were up to the discretion of the trainee and their own desires, but were rarely enforced. Three was the bare minimum. Most stuck willingly to it.
