"She's a clever little shickster, that's for sure," Naomi chuckles. "Only been about two weeks, but she carries a saddle like she's been doing it for years." Will beams, his attention now fully back on Honey, who seems more than happy to indulge in it.

"That's 'cause she's an ace-high kinda gal!" Will declares proudly. "Ain't you, Honey?" As if in reply, she makes a chortling sort of sound, nudging his hand before licking his palm. Will giggles, turning to look at Naomi with a pleading, hopeful expression.

Of course. Today was Will's birthday, and the two of them had spent the night before discussing the matter of his birthday present. One that Will had been begging for ever since Naomi had begun training Honey, and one that she had been reluctant to provide, only deciding to do so after a conversation with Lee. She sighs, giving him a faux-exasperated look.

“So… you ready to ride her today, baby?”

Finally, Lenore Dove brings a hand down to rest on one of Maysilee's shoulders. There's a slight hesitation, and then her fingers are hooking into the thin strap of Maysilee's tank top. Lenore Dove's eyes flicker down to where her hand is, her lips parting in a long, trembling inhale of need.
"I want to feel you," she pleads, her eyes flicking back up to Maysilee's. "I-I want to feel that you're still here."
The realization of what Lenore Dove is implying finally clicks into place for Maysilee.
Her sleep-deprived mind, though now wide awake, can't seem to comprehend that this is real. That this isn't a shameful fantasy, that Lenore Dove is on top of her, wild curls and darkened eyes bathed in firelight, waiting for Maysilee's permission to touch her.

He has friends and some semblance of home to return to for the first time since he was eight years old. Just this once, he allows himself to hope the good things might stick.

But the gods aren’t done with them just yet, and by the time Leo finds his way back, Jason is gone.

This time, Leo decides he’s done just taking the Fates’ bullshit lying down. If getting his best friend back means striking a deal with the gods and venturing into the Underworld… well, it’s probably not even the most reckless thing he’s ever done.

The caveat of said deal? He has to trust Jason will follow him, or his self-doubt will doom them both.

And after the life he’s lived, Leo is so intricately familiar with self-doubt that he could probably trademark the word.

Nico and his rich, mysterious, ridiculously good-looking best friends (affectionately dubbed “Nico and the Seven” by students who can only dream of being that cryptic) are the stuff of gossip and wild rumours. Mafia ties? Maybe. Vampire coven? Sure. Time travelers from an alternate dimension? Definitely plausible.
Will’s sure he’s never stood a chance… until a spilled drink, a cigarette on a balcony, and one very unexpected dinner invitation send him spiralling into Nico’s orbit. Now he’s stuck somewhere between flirting and a full-blown existential crisis.
