“If I can’t ask questions of the Almighty, can I ask you?” Crowley asks, when their feet are on the ground again, looking Aziraphale up and down with a slight smile that makes Aziraphale feel something. He finds himself feeling things a lot, but nobody else talks about feelings beyond gratitude and devoutness so he tends to keep it to himself.
“Well. . .I don’t have answers,” Aziraphale says, wrinkling his nose.
“That’s fine,” Crowley says, sighing. “I just like to talk, really.”

Aziraphale deliberately took Crowley to lunch to seduce him. To inspire him, as Aziraphale had insisted on clarifying. Not into anything more than kissing him, Crowley was certain. But when they get back to the bookshop it ends up being a whole lot more.
“Has it occurred to you, Crowley,” Aziraphale draws his name out, like it’s something special and just the right flavor on his tongue. “That I might want you just as badly as you want me?”
Sixty seconds ago, Crowley wouldn’t have believed him for even a moment but now… He trips over the tenses of things: “It had not.”

The two women innocently assumed that Aziraphale and Crowley were also married, which made things interesting. Because they hadn't actually talked about that yet.
