“Itadori would definitely die for Fushiguro.” Maki nodded, smirking.
Itadori blushed hard, blurting out, “I would, though.”
In which a group game with questions reveals a few things, Itadori is too busy controlling his embarrassment to properly admit his feelings as Fushiguro leaves little breadcrumbs about his own, in the end it becomes a game of two and Kugisaki’s plan bears fruit.

Summary
“Gojo-sensei.”
Fushiguro’s gaze snapped to Gojo’s phone, as if he hadn’t hesitated at all upon hearing that familiar voice. A not quite pleasant feeling crept into his chest in a matter of seconds. Weird. Unusual. Itadori’s voice—
“Hey, Yuuji!” Gojo greeted in his usual self, an easy smile already on his lips. “What’s up?”
“Could you come pick me up? I’m at school.” Itadori asked on the other end of the line.
Fushiguro slid his gaze back down to the clock on his own phone; he noticed that Gojo did the same thing—he had realized who exactly was calling him, and at what time. Fushiguro looked up back at Gojo, who already had his gaze fixed straight ahead. He knew only from that that they had both come to the same conclusion.
“Please.” Itadori spoke after a pause.
Itadori is acting like a weird version of himself. Fushiguro wonders, and realizes Itadori's condition has to do with him more than he thinks.

"I just need you to know," Will says quietly, and he makes himself hold Mike's gaze, "that if something happens - if I hurt you, or anyone else - it's not because I wanted to. I would never want to hurt you, Mike. Never."
The words hang between them, loaded with more meaning than Will intended.
There's a pause where all Will can hear is their breathing echoing against the storage closet's walls. The hum is more distant now, buzzing in the back of Will's mind, but the uneven inhales coming from in front of him sound louder. The breath tickling his nose (because they really are that close) feels realer.
Mike's eyes are still darting across Will's face, and Will can feel him inhale sharply. "Will, why are you so convinced you're going to hurt someone? What did Vecna show you?"
Everything, Will thinks. He showed me everything. Showed me killing you over and over until I couldn't see anything else.
Somewhere between slaying interdimensional eldritch horrors, exploding an entire dimension, and risking their lives countless times, Mike and Will find each other.

Dustin whipped around to jab him in the ribs. “Dude! I thought we were going to play it cool?!”
Lucas elbowed him back without missing a beat. “We are playing it cool!”
