“Do you remember me?”
“No,” he whispered. “Who are you?”
She laughed, and kneeled beside him, placing a single yellow lily on his chest. It smelled sweet, fresh, earthly. “Silly,” she said. “I just didn’t know if you would. It’s okay. Go back to sleep.”
“Was I sleeping?”
She laughed again, and in that blissful moment, he thought the sound must be the most beautiful thing in the world. He closed his eyes.
He could stay here forever.

Orion Pax looks at him. He looks at him with those clear, energon-blue optics; optics he’s been watching for as long as he’s known him. He knows it too, that this is no imposter—someone wearing the plating of Orion Pax, his colors, his spark. But he still feels that angry slithering something in his tanks, that balks at the other mech.
Orion Pax sighs. “I really don’t want to, Megatron,” he says bluntly.
Megatron swallows down a lump in his throat. “Oh,” he says faintly. “Alright.”

He made sure his team was deep into the underground tunnel E818 – one with three exits, including a secret one he was sure the Quintessons hadn’t found yet or they would have used it long before now – before he stopped, watching the distance between them grow and grow.
“Bee,” he called out, “when ya get back to base, tell Blaster he’s gonna need to drop the beat.”
Then he set off the nearest hidden charges he knew were planted in every mine shaft and tunnel. Just enough of them to collapse this side of the mine and prevent anyone else from following.
“What was–Jazz! Jazz, do–!”
His words were cut off as the ceiling of the mine collapsed right in front of Jazz’s face, making him step back just enough to avoid getting hit by the debris.

Jazz sacrifices himself to save his team, and that leads to a less-than-fun time for Jazz. But he's not worried. He knows if he waits long enough, someone is coming to get him. Sucks for the Quintessons that the one coming is exactly who Jazz thinks it will be.

Soundwave nods in his agreement. Starscream barely holds a snicker in behind his fingers.
“What is so funny, Starscream?” he inquires sharply, leaning forwards and down into the mech's space. Then, very belatedly, “...I will what.”
Megatron is sick of losing to the Autobots. Soundwave and Starscream come up with an incredible plan.

He's not stalking him, or following him in any way, for that matter. He's there because Shockwave had told him the Quintessons would be. It's recon only, simply for the purposes of seeing how the Autobots cope against their mutual foe, and if either side has exploitable weaknesses. He's there to observe from afar.
This all goes to the Pits when Optimus falls. Megatron finds himself in motion before he can even process it.
Or: in which Megatron and Optimus kiss and make up (figuratively AND literally).
