Summary

Casually, Taehyung slips a hand into the pocket of his trousers and leans his weight back on one foot. He cocks his head, letting his lips quirk as he realizes something. “You do it so often, does that mean you’re always thinking about us fucking?”

Summary
Jeongguk has maybe been in love with Taehyung since the moment he was born. And it's fine, because Taehyung is the bestest friend in the world, and the most caring person he's ever met, and Jeongguk really doesn't even care that one day he'll watch Taehyung fall in love and get married and end up with someone decidedly not Jeongguk - because, well, at least he's got something.
He can live with that.
What he can't live with, is Taehyung's recent obsession with finding Jeongguk someone to kiss at midnight on New Year's.

Jeongguk and Taehyung have been bestfriends for ten years.
It's a long time, in retrospect. In the moment too. Jeongguk personally doesn't feel like he knows much, but he knows Taehyung. Like the back of his own hand.
Also like the back of Taehyung's hand, that for some reason he can't seem to tear his eyes away from, memorizing long tanned fingers and bright blue veins that trail along to his palms, also draw Jeongguk's mind away from reality. From common sense.
A short story about pent up feelings, love, the wrong people and the right ones, and most importantly, Taegguk.

Summary
"I think there are things worse than death, personally." Taehyung says. The emptiness that manifests inside of me when I sleep alone in a bed I cannot fill by myself, the gaps in the human memory, the foolish need to care for things, caring is what he doesn't say.
"I think you need to become the main voice-over for my documentary. You have some interesting thoughts the world can benefit from." Jeongguk smiles at him and the force of it is as good as a touch. Mere presence is enough, Taehyung finds himself remembering.
He smiles back.
(Or: Taehyung and Jeongguk are stuck on a nameless planet after a space mission goes awry. Despite the speedy decline in creative ways to kill time, they’re slow to catch onto each other.)

It's silent, where the car is parked. Almost oppressively so. But when Taehyung looks outside the lights switched on in high rise buildings look like stars suspended in thin air. All these people, living in compartments, in small boxes, doing different things, it stirs something up inside of him. He replaces himself and Jungkook in those multiple lives for a second. Watching TV together on the couch and relishing the simple comfort of it. Slow dancing in the kitchen with yellow lights turned on, their bodies pressed close. Working on different things in the same space, sweetly encouraging one another. It's all so relatively ordinary, and yet Taehyung can't have it. Not now.
