“Truth or dare!” Shelby announces triumphantly
Cleo gets up, muttering something about “doing it properly,” and returns with a gleam in her eye, getting up to grab something from a cabinet as she does so. “If we’re going to play,” she says, pulling open a cabinet, “we should make it interesting.” She places a silver dagger in the center of the circle. The metal glints under the torchlight.
“It was originally used on prisoners to force the truth out of them,” Cleo says casually, like it’s something you see every day. “If it points at you and you choose truth, be warned that once you start talking, you won’t stop until the full truth is out.”

Summary
585 years. That's how long it had been since the war of Oakhurst waged. 585 years since Scott had lost someone who loved him unconditionally. 585 years since Scott lost someone who reminded him so much of a past lover.
585 years since he had murdered the people who had taken Avid away.
The year was 2025, and Scott was learning to live without attachments again. Something he thought he'd already mastered. That all stopped when during an outing with a dear friend and fledgling of his hear a laugh that makes Scott freeze.

“Isn’t it the coolest?” Shelby brightened, giving a little twirl. “I had the contacts and the wig from a while back, but Scott helped me pick out my actual outfit a few hours ago.”
Avid froze.
“Oh?” His voice came out hoarse and barely audible. “Really? Scott helped you?”

The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”

Joel's got a job as a Gravestone Cleaner, instead of going to college as an architect as he planned, but he doesn't mind the work all that much, it's just boring. One day, he sees a peculiar guest sitting at a grave one day who piques his interest. When Joel keeps seeing this man day after day, he can't help but wonder who they are, so he talks to them. And they talk a little, soon they're friends. Joel thinks maybe this person needs a helping hand moving on, so he offers his best friendship.
Maybe he's got some unfinished issues he could move on from too. Maybe this person could help with that.
TLDR : Joel and Etho meet at a graveyard and start bonding.

Summary
Double Life with Etho and Joel but reimagined as a game show. I'm including a few other ships but the focus is Boat Boys. There may be a few chapters where it is another ships POV (Like Impdubs, Desert Duo, and Ranchers). For my plot I'm not exactly following what happened, but I will stay true to a few things and I will reference a few series' outside of double life that I think tie in well for characters. I also can't promise things being chronological (Ex: the bad boys) I feel like Etho and Joel's relationship is the way it is because they were forced together.
