After a successful hunt, the two usually cracked open a couple of beers. It was their way of celebrating, but Sam had taken it to a whole new level. There was a tremendous difference between having a couple of drinks and downing the entire supply; a huge contrast between obtaining a buzz and getting hammered.
Sam wasn’t ignorant. He knew what would happen if he drank and drank and drank, which could only mean one thing.
Sam had wanted to get drunk.
