They pulled up to a fire house and his dad helped him out of the car and handed him a note.
“Now, Evan, I need you to go in there and hand this note to one of the nice firemen.” Dad said.
“Okay, Dad!” His dad was talking to him and trusting him with an important task! It really was a great day! And he gets to see fire trucks!
He walked in, amazed at the sights of the station. He wandered around for a bit with his mouth agape before one of the firefighters noticed him.
“Hey, kid, what are you doing here?” The firefighter asked as he crouched down.
“My daddy wanted me to give you this!” Evan said.
The firefighter took the note, opened it, and it read:
His name is Evan. Find him a good home. He deserves somewhere where he will be loved and that’s not with us.

His boyfriend had been acting strange since the weekend after the Jefferson Boys’ Basketball game on Friday. Even though they had exchanged their usual goofy texts and memes during the weekend, TJ had kept declining to facetime. Normally, they’d also hang out at each other’s houses, but TJ had said his mom needed him to stay home and that he couldn’t have anyone over even Cyrus. Cyrus was beginning to wonder if maybe TJ was getting tired of him. Their relationship had already lasted longer than typical middle school ones. They’d already been together for five months, two weeks, three days, and thirteen hours. That was a huge milestone.

With a heavy heart, he turns away. His time of waiting is not yet over. He pauses before leaving, however, lifting his face towards the sky and holding his breath. That cool breeze does not come, though. There is nothing. Not the sound of the birds in the trees, or the insects buzzing around the wildflowers. Everything is still, silent, frozen.
Letting his gaze return to the trees and the vague pathway before him, he takes a deep breath and forces himself to walk away. Something makes him pause after a few steps and he turns back.
“I will be waiting for you,” he says out loud, “on the other side of the frozen pines.”
OR
After losing Arthur, Merlin vows to wait for him to return, no matter how long it takes. He just doesn't realize quite how long that is going to be.

"Already feeling better, eh?" Stede says, breathless and pleased.
"Mph." Ed says against his lips, crawling over him and sliding a hand under his jaw. Stede is very receptive, pliant and interested underneath him, and he wraps his arms around Ed's back, nails lightly scratching and making Ed drop onto his knees, goosebumps springing up over his skin. The angle that he hits his left knee at sends a sharp lance of pain through it, making him curse and roll onto his back, cursing "fuckingfuckbastardknee" as he does so.
"Oh, bugger, I'm sorry!" Stede says, reaching a hand down to wrap around Ed's knee, tilting it slightly to make sure it looks alright the way he does whenever it gets messed up. "Do you need me to do the clicky-thingy?"

Lucius is nothing If not careing. He cares about Stede and his well beeing and his feelings, he cares about Ed and about him becomeing his best self, he cares about Izzy at least enogh to not have the crew try to throw him overboard again. He cares so much...about almost everything...so much so that he might necelect himself a little.
Nobody knows about Lucius's careing nature more then Pete, who has been on the recieving end of Lucius's seemingly never ending affection for the past months. But now the scribe has caught a nasty cold. Which he was less then happy about. Finally Pete is the one who get's to do the pampering.
