COMPLETED!! Nika's reactions the night of the Olympic Free Skate that changes his best friend's (and his) life forever. Chapter 5 is my personal favorite chapter! It eventually becomes more Nika-centric, though!
For those who are following my works, they go in this order:
1. Sowing Seeds in Sochi follows Mikhail's life from ages 11-16.
2. Just How Fast The Night Changes covers the Olympic events (and the events of Worlds).
3. About The Car... is about what happens after the Olympics.
3A- In Care of Mihhail/Aleksandr Selevko happens in the same timeline, but in Estonia. The universes do overlap, though, during summer camps.

Summary
There is one problem though: as exciting as winning olympic gold is, Misha struggles a little to enjoy it when his boyfriend did not do as well. Being no. 15 in the world at the olympics is amazing of course, but it is not the same as being the gold winner. Ilia would never want Misha to think like that and it is not Ilia’s fault that Misha does. It is just … well … sometimes Misha’s past catches up with him and it leads exactly to that: while he is happy and excited, there is that little bit of doubt and fear in the back of his mind. Misha wishes he would not have that, that he could just shut it off, but past experiences know how to stay behind.
Or: Misha is struggling to really be happy about his win at the olympics.

When regular 21-year-old guys binge drink, black out, and post dumb comments on TikTok, it's embarrassing. When you're Team USA's figure skating golden boy who just crashed hard with the whole world watching, it gets more complicated.
