(The netherspace, for once, is quiet. Kai just stands idly, so perplexed it makes the fear die in his throat, replaced by undiluted confusion.)

Summary
It started, as most terrible ideas did, with Jay.
“Why are they always so dreary? All the brooding and the monologues. If I was a villain, I’d at least have fun with it. Cool lair, dramatic entrances… maybe a tiger.”
“Please," Kai scoffed, "you’d be a villain who stops to help kittens out of trees. You have the moral backbone of a chocolate éclair.”
“Oh yeah?” Jay shot back, “You think you could do better, Mr. ‘I-Pout-When-I-Lose-At-Jenga’?”
“I could be an amazing villain,” Kai declared, puffing out his chest. “Efficient. No nonsense. Get things done.”
“Prove it,” Jay dared, eyes gleaming. “One day. Be ‘Villain Kai.’ See if you can even last till lunch without helping a little old lady cross the street.”
It was a stupid dare. A joke. That’s how it began.

Summary
Beneath a poisonous tree in the land of the dead, two ghosts find a fragile and unwilling peace in each other's presence. A moment of quiet in a shared eternity, or lack thereof. Crowned in poisonous white blooms, they built a shelter from their shared ruin, if only for a little while.

Kai is dead and he hates it. Morro is dead and has accepted it. Sitting under a tree, they braid eachothers hair.

Summary
Hunger starts small.
Kai feels it fluttering beneath his ribs, like a bird rattling against a cage. It flares and dies now and again, calling him back to that aching feeling. At first, it's nothing to note. He'll just stuff his face with whatever until it leaves.
But after a while, it takes a little more to placate. After a while, it takes too much. After a while, it takes everything.
After a while, it's all that's left. And nothing in the 16 realms can satiate it.
Except one thing.
And he hates it.
Or:
Killing the omukade turned out to leave quite the hefty consequence. Now holding it's curse, Kai finds that on some nights, only something specific can whet his appetite.
Who knew elemental masters could be so... crunchy.

Summary
The first emotion I remember taking note of was fear. Don't laugh! It's really true. I remember I was seven, and I had just seen someone die for the first time. I thought, that could be me. That was going to be me.
I cried to my mother for an hour. I think, although its silly, that's why I do what I do. I spent most of my childhood thinking about the future, that the present just slipped away. By the time I looked back, the only thing I could see was an overgrown path; full of weeds I'd never paid attention to.
I'm not going to live like that anymore. I'm going to take note of everything: Of everything that has been, will soon be, and never will. I think thats the only way I'll ever die at peace.

“Such an unfortunate color that you decided to take on,” Kraang mused from everywhere. He really was all that existed in the entire universe. His voice rumbled from the patch circling his waist and from the splotchy sensation swirling atop his tongue and from the streak stretching across his plastron. “You almost look just like me, Pest, only a touch too strong. I wonder how long it will take for the red to drain out as the rest of you has.”
Kraang’s armor plates veered closer, and Leo got to see firsthand in the reflection as his crescents were smothered underneath a pair of wriggling pink half-moons. They burbled on his face.
“Much better. What do you say, Pest?”
His mouth was stuck shut the first few times he opened it, but eventually he managed to swallow and rasp out, “Th – Tha-a-ank youuu.”
“Such a good Pest,” Kraang said, and his heart soared, because maybe it was time to play again, and maybe this time he could be even better, better enough to finally get that reward, until – “But not good enough.”
or, Leo is in the Prison Dimension for a while. It messes with him. 5 times Leo felt trapped +1 time he was exactly where he wanted to be.

Summary
He understands why he feels calmer in Zane’s presence when the fire becomes too much, because comfort is probably programmed into Zane’s nature, and because it makes sense for him to need to cool down.
It doesn’t make much sense for ice to seek help in the element that would melt it, but that’s where Zane’s sinking into right now. Into Kai’s arms.

Summary
After losing months worth of memories due to a drowning-induced amnesia, Kai struggles to fix relationships he didn't know were broken, while at the same time trying to piece together the narrative of what exactly he's forgotten.
Both tasks prove to be more difficult than he thought, especially considering the ninja don't seem to want him to remember.
