Summary
The aquarium is large, and the chatter is constant. Everywhere is draped in blue hues, light streaming through the aquariums, disrupted by all different shapes and manners of sea creatures. They currently are in front of a sign about seahorse, adorned with half-scratched off bubble stickers.
Sua’s blurry vision is tilted up by Hia’s careful hands. The fuzzy, colorful bits start to fade. Through the glass pane, on the opposite side where more observers are, Sua sees a pink figure with blobs that look like hands pressed to the glass. An odd warm feeling filters through her.
From what Sua can see, the girl has bright eyes. The water and lighting makes them look almost blue, but they’re wide and lively, and focused on her. Pink hair goes down to her middle, swaying as she uselessly tugs on an adult's arm, one who doesn’t seem to be listening.
Something in Sua twists and twirls. She barely makes out the faint glow on the other side, the warmth concentrated in her like a tug.
Ah, Sua thinks, and concludes that she is drifting. Being pulled away by the sea. It doesn’t feel harsh. She almost wants to get closer.
Sua, despite her familys warnings, succumbs to fate.

“Purp’s, heh.. Hey…” Red chirps, making direct eye contact. Which was strange, for Red, who usually adverted their eyes away from Purple. Purple never really knew why Red did that.
Purple turns their head back to look at the crowd of people again, but they adjust and wrap an arm around Red’s back. “Hey, Red.” Purple spoke softly.
Red shuffles to get more comfortable against Purple. “Heey… Heh, Purp’s, you’re really.. You’re… Mmm…” Red searches for the words, their gaze flicking back and forth on the side profile of Purple. “You’re a good security person, ya’know…” Red rolls onto their side, moving to get up-close and personal with Purple. “Really good.”
Purple cocks their eyebrow and uses two fingers to push Red’s face back. “Thank you, Red.” Red whines, but lets Purple’s gentle touch guide their face back. “You’re a good captain.” Purple doesn’t truly think Red is a good captain, in fact, Red is quite a shitty captain, but Purple wouldn’t want to break Red’s fragile—currently drunk—heart.
AKA: Red is stupidly drunk, and just as stupidly bold.

Red shifts again, nervous. Purple’s so tense. “I was lonely.” They confess, even though it was something Red wouldn’t have said on their own.
Purple starts stroking Red’s back, running their hand slowly up and down it, soothingly so. “Yeah?” They keep their voice low, as soft as Purple’s voice can get. Which usually wasn’t much soft at all.
Red was cute. Purple wouldn’t usually admit this either, but when they aren’t running their mouth and being a jerk to them, they’re quite cute. Purple leans their head against Red’s. Red seems to relax further as Purple does so.
“Yeah.” They repeat Purple, voice just as soft.
AKA: Red is lonely, and Purple is available.

Sua knew she was going to die first. In a way, she reveled in it—she wanted it more than anything. She wanted to die first more than she wanted to survive. If someone asked her why, she would say it was for Mizi’s sake—but even in a world where they could both live side by side, Sua would choose this kind of ending. There was something formidable about the target painted on her neck, and she was choosing to believe there was something more with the Great Anakt—something freeing, not so suffocating underneath a warm body.
