"You don't make my coffee dipshit." Tommy has a point. It doesn't stop Billy from imagining it, though.
"Cassie can be bribed." Not that Billy could afford her.

Summary
By the time everyone had gathered around the table, Nico was buzzing with excitement. His character sheet and notebook were neatly laid out in front of him, and his D&D Player’s Handbook was tucked away in his bag in case he needed it (he wouldn’t, he had it memorised back to front). Bianca didn’t have any dice, so Nico was sharing his collapsible dice tray with her, and set it between them for easy access. His fancy obsidian dice were neatly lined up along one side, and the glittery green acrylic set he loaned Bianca was lined up on the other.
Percy was idly stacking his blue d6s opposite Nico while Grover was organising his spell cards next to him. Thalia was at the other head of the table - opposite Annabeth, and between Grover and Bianca - doodling in the margins of her character sheet.
“Okay,” Annabeth announced to grab their attention, and Nico couldn’t stop smiling even if he wanted to. “Let’s start by introducing our characters.”

"Will had been at camp long enough to know the warning signs. The whole Camp got tense when sudden thunderstorms rolled in; everyone got skittish when the King of the Gods was angry. The pegasi sensed it first, a sudden shift in the air. They flattened their ears against their heads and refused to fly. Some of them got particularly ornery, scared to trust themselves to the sky. When they turned on campers like this, it could only mean rain was coming.
Which meant Will was in for hell today."

It is becoming easier, almost, to adjust to the new way of life. He has switched to using his left hand to cast the spell, and the effects are creeping further and further up his left arm with each passing day, even if they vanish by the next morning.
But that is an understandable price to pay. A reasonable price, if it keeps everyone else safe. It doesn’t matter, really, if he has started to find more and more lacerations from stray waves of shadow each morning as he lies in his untouched bed. It doesn’t matter that the pupils of his eyes, when he gazes into the reflective glass of the captain’s desk, are starting to disappear entirely. Nor that he will sometimes start at the faint feeling of fingers threading around his neck, tracing the line of his cheek.
“Praesidio. Praesidio, fortier defendebant, defendebant splendide...”
The Rocks family is safe. Any price is worth that.

"Leia is purchasing supplies for the Rebellion when she stumbles upon it. It’s an old medpack, from the time of the Republic if she had to guess, probably scavenged from one of the many ships on this junkyard of a planet.
She picks it up. Medical supplies are always good to find, no matter how old they may be.
All the typical things are in there, and then some. Hypos, syringes, a few rolls of bandages, some bacta patches that may or may not still be good, a couple old stims, and even a few pieces of actual flimsy. But what surprises her is the comm resting at the bottom."

Summary
The Bad Batch protects their own. It’s their most sacred promise to each other, come hell or high water. When a reg named Echo joins Crosshair’s squad, Crosshair makes that promise again.
However, in the stark halls of Kamino, Crosshair discovers that Echo’s decision to join the Bad Batch is only the beginning. On Kamino, Crosshair and his brothers are helpless to watch as Echo’s augmentations thrust him into the sights of the Kaminoan scientists. The Bad Batch promised to protect Echo, but the promises of clones are fragile things.
