Cole uses his free hand to hold onto the handrail, trying his damndest to ignore Genji’s fingers, rubbing slow, methodical circles on Cole’s waist, or the cool shifting grip on his wrist, or the warm air emanating from the vents at the back of his neck, or the way his head almost imperceptibly nudges into the crook of his shoulder as he helps him up the stairs.
“Where’s your room?” Genji whispered, looking around the small corridor that composed the second floor. Cole looked down, only now realizing how close their faces were.
“Uh.” He helpfully supplied, pulling his eyes from Genji’s with much difficulty.
Just in time to celebrate a successful stakeout, Genji gets a new liver.

Summary
In the Defernull AU….
After showing up following a 7 year absence, Spamton thinks he can convince Tenna he’s a changed man. Tenna is not so convinced, but he sees an opportunity, and decides to “sweet talk” Spamton into signing a contract saying that he’ll never leave him again.
Overtime, Tenna realizes how much he actually missed Spamton despite his effort to convince everyone that he hates his guts, and when Spamton slips back into old habits, he feels justified in punishing him.
