Summary
This whole thing was Gem’s idea; ice skating runs in her blood. She’s a natural, thanks to figure skating in her youth and years of growing up surrounded by lakes. Grian’s a bit nervous, and it’s obvious despite his attempt to seem otherwise.

Summary
Gem has been attending sword fighting classes since she was little. She’s really good—the best in her class! She is a powerhouse with a sword, an orange-and-green ball of parries and slashes and well-timed hits. She is not as physically strong as some of the others in her class, not taller than anyone in particular, not as quick, but she’s incredibly sturdy. Her reaction times are instantaneous, and she can block a swipe quicker than a third party can process it in the first place. Her classmates hate to be paired up with her, and she can guarantee a groan from prospective opponents any time they are sorted into teams.
The only exception, of course, being Grian.

Summary
"Alone in a sea of sand, a monolith of a building rests atop a hill, cut out of sandstone. It’s packed with clays and muds inside, retaining any coolness accumulated from the relatively colder nights. There’s barely any windows, and a tall tower splits from the building’s middle. Atop the tower, at the very top, perches a blindingly red figure."
When Grian starts overheating, Scar gets worried. His wings look weird, and they need a preen. Grian needs some help reaching a spot, and they silently pine until one of them breaks an unspoken rule.

Summary
Tommy often felt like his two closest friends (rival, in Ranboo’s case) had some sort of sixth sense that told them when he wasn’t in a good place, mentally. It almost pissed him off, how… present they were, for him.
Tommy has a breakdown, but his friends care for him too deeply to let him go about it alone.
It's a wonder how they didn't notice his brimming tears with every idle shoulder brush.

“So, can I finally know the reason for this impromptu marathon?”
There’s nervous anticipation buzzing inside him now, and Grian has to swallow before he speaks, mouth dry all of a sudden.
“Feed on me,” he says, and everything gets very quiet. His throat clicks as he opens his mouth again, but he finds he has nothing else to say, so he just sits back, arms braced on the bed, and looks at Scar.
Scar blinks at him.
“Sorry?” Scar sounds so baffled that Grian can’t help laughing. “Grian, you’re not—”
“Now I know you’re not about to tell me what I can and can’t do, Mr. Goodtimes,” Grian says. “And if you’re about to rattle off some bullshit about me getting hurt, we both know I can beat you in a fair fight, don’t we?”
Scar’s eyes glint in the dark.
“Come on,” Grian coaxes. His wings spread out behind him without his saying, and he can feel himself flush, embarrassed. Not that Scar seems to notice the blatant presentation, but still. “I wanna help you out. You’ll have a more clear mind, and then we can find a solution together, hm?”
Scar hesitates, arms crossed, but his resolve is clearly thinning. Grian smiles, wicked.
“You always get your way, don’t you,” Scar mutters.

The man hovering over him leaned back, releasing Grian completely. Cold night air rushed in to fill the void.
“I guess it’s out in the open now,” the stranger hummed. “Shame. I wanted to avoid this.”
With the additional glow occupying the space between them, Grian was finally able to catch features that were lost in the prior darkness. His curiosity outweighed all else, and he drank them in greedily. As soon as he saw who sat across from him, alarms blared in his mind.
This man wasn’t a civilian, wasn’t even a hero.
“Hello, Doctor,” the villain mused. “You were quite the help today.”
