"I'm delighted you joined us, Miss Granger," she said with visible pleasure.
"Hermione is just fine," the young witch assured quickly.
Henry knew what his mother was thinking. He didn't correct her. Not that he would engage in a relationship with Hermione. Well... if she were a dentist, he could, but a full-time witch? Not a chance.OR
Harry Potter quickly adjusted to living with the Dursleys. He quickly adapted their norms as his own.
Hogwarts? No, thank you. I'll be an Oxford-educated lawyer, let's be serious.

Harry Begins his fifth year at Hogwarts and his apprenticeship with Professor Snape.
"Thank you, Professor Umbridge, for that illuminating speech. As I said before, we have two and a half changes to the staff, and we are pleased to announce an assistant has been added to our staff. Professor Snape, as it is only fair after letting Professor Umbridge speak, and given the popular demand expressed earlier, would you like to make the formal introduction yourself?"
"I, Severus Tobias Snape, Master of Potions bronze level in good standing with the potioneer’s guild, Master of the Dark Arts fully registered and licensed to operate in all territories under the ICW, junior mediwizard, have taken as my apprentice Lord Harry James Potter, to guide in life and magic and work to further magical advancement," the announcement was met with gasps and chatter, but accompanied by much more enthusiastic applause than what Umbridge had received. Malfoy's jaw was hanging open, Zabini looked pale, Ron and Hermione were applauding loudly while the twins sang 'for he's a jolly good fellow.' At the Ravenclaw table, Boot was turning this way and that excitedly while Mandy was laughing through her applause.

Summary
When a burst of wild magic ripped through the world, no one knew quite what had happened; not at first. It was chaos. Ministries all over the world tried to figure out what had caused it, or where it had even come from. But then Hera Potter bursts into the British Ministry, covered in magical fire that didn’t burn, and the story spread throughout the entirety of the magical world. Those who were there for her mastery tests spoke of what they’d witnessed, all drawing the same conclusion. Hera Potter had ascended to godhood, and now they wanted to know what she would do with it.
