She wants to hold onto this for as long as possible. It’s not a very peaceful instinct to cling to things the way she does, but she’s working on that. She’s learning. She hasn’t learned.
Callie comes up behind her, wrapping her arms around Arizona’s waist and hooking her chin over Arizona’s shoulder. “Whatcha thinkin’?”
Everything. Nothing. Too much and too little and nothing she can say out loud.
“We should get chickens,” Arizona says instead.
