Since 2021, Oscar Piastri has been carrying a massive crush on Lando Norris. Not the “oh he’s cute” type — no, it’s full-blown, heart-clutching, can’t-breathe-when-he-smiles type of love.
He’s tried everything: late-night texts that could be romantic, giving him the last biscuit in the McLaren motorhome, straight-up saying, “I like you, Lando,” only for Lando to reply, “Yeah, I like you too, you’re my best teammate Oscar!” Oscar has been stuck in a romcom where the love interest is too dense to realize he’s the love interest.

Summary
During a golden, sun-drenched Monaco summer the Mclaren team takes a rare break. The villa they stay at is quiet, heavy with heat and the soft stillness of time off.
Oscar arrives in the wake of a quiet breakup with Lily, carrying the silence of a man still figuring out what he’s lost. He’s withdrawn, his mind a haze of bitter thoughts.
Lando watches from the edges, heart soft and aching. His crush on Oscar is old and carefully hidden, but now, without the noise of the track or the pressure of the season, something fragile begins to stir.
In the space between cicadas and salt-kissed afternoons, conversations grow more honest. Oscar is lonely. Lando is hopeful.
And sometimes, hope lingers even when it’s sunburnt, peeling and sore, but still alive under the skin.

Lando hates him immediately.
As the band's tour drags on, as the looming threat of FIA's album deadline becomes ever the more pressing, as Oscar gets dragged deeper into a strange world of glitz and grime, Lando begins to think that things might finally turn out fine.

Max swallows.He’d forgotten that was coming out soon, now he supposes.
“Of course.”
“Producer: Sebastian Vettel, oh Pierre Gasly is listed as a co-producer again. And Emilian is in the writing credits.” He blinks. “Guess that’s why it sounds like Leclerc’s first album, with Emilian and Pierre working with him again. Do you think he’s been talking to his ex?”
Max snorts. “No.”

Twenty-one years and Max still looks the same. Sure, he’s a little softer around the edges, his face beginning to show signs of the years gone by, and his blond hair has started sprouting a couple of gray hairs here and there. But he’s still as beautiful to Charles today as he always has been, and those strikingly blue eyes are still Charles’ favorite thing to look at in the whole world. And it’s not like Max is alone; Charles has aged the same way his husband has over the years, and Max still continues to look at him like he’s the single most wonderful creature to ever walk the earth.
Max is wearing the same tuxedo as Charles, only his bow tie and handkerchief are navy blue. He looks gorgeous.
“Yeah,” he says, and it’s only half a lie. “Are you?”
Max nods, glancing down at the courtyard below. “As okay as one can be on his daughter’s wedding day.”
