****This fic is written in real time. Meaning every chapter is posted on the exact date and time Dennis and Robby text each other. If they don’t talk for a day, there’s no chapter that day. If they go a whole week without texting (because of some conflict in their story), then the fic goes a whole week without updating.
Essentially, you’re reading their messages exactly as they happen until they eventually fall in love❤️
UPDATE: Ok, SO. Quick update on how I’m posting this fic:
From now on, each chapter will include the full day’s texts all at once. I’m still keeping the real dates and the natural timestamps in the story, but I’m not going to post them throughout the actual day anymore. As much as I love the aesthetic of dropping messages only when the characters text… ya girl has shit to do and I cannot be glued to my computer waiting for Dennis and Robby to hit send LOL

Dennis takes a deep breath in to calm himself, but as he breathes out, he confesses, “Trinity made a bet with Samira that I could get anyone in the bar to buy me a drink because I kind of have a knack for it, but Samira chose you, and now they’re watching us, and I’m so sorry.”
His boss blinks at him a couple of times, probably figuring out the least problematic way to fire him or berate him for being so damn unprofessional. He should’ve just said no to Trinity and Samira and killed the vibes for the night; he’d prefer that to whatever Robby is about to say. He can already see the anger bubbling up inside him that’s going to—
“I’ll buy you a drink.”
Dennis stares at him, unblinking. After a few seconds, he manages to ask, “What?”
“I’ll buy you a drink,” Robby repeats, then leans over to pat the bar stool next to him. “But you’re going to have to earn it.”

Robby tight end his hold, restraining Dennis’ harming hands as he brought them up to hit himself in the head again, anchoring Dennis.
”Dennis, sweetheart..” he murmured, “You don't have a home to go to.”
”I do...” He voice came out small and weak, as if he was pleading the lie to turn to truth, “I promise, I-“
Robby’s heart cracked as he soothed their boy.

Maybe this was a bad idea.
Robby muses to himself as he stares at Dennis across central talking to Trinity animatedly, Trinity’s eyebrows furrowing as she glances over at him with a look of confusion and happiness. He can only imagine what she’s thinking when she laughs and smacks Dennis’ arm before scurrying off. He traces Dennis’ movements as Dennis shakes his head, looks down at the tablet in his hands then stops before glancing up at the feeling of eyes on him. He startles slightly before giving a small smile with a light blush dusted across his cheeks. Robby gives a quick smile back before looking back down at his computer, not exactly reading the words on the screen as his own cheeks burn.
He thinks about what got him into this situation.

Trinity and Garcia are loud, Dennis needs somewhere to go and who is Robby to not give him somewhere to go.

Summary
There’s no real rationale to what Dennis asks next. His brain is overloaded with new information, which piles onto his already spiraling conundrum of attempting to explore his own sexuality. It causes a deadly concoction. The result?
“Can you kiss me?”
It’s blurted out with zero thought. An accumulation of I want to kiss a man that I trust and I trust Doctor Robby, followed by he has the experience, so he’ll know what to do.
The request shocks them both. Robby sits up straight, eyes widening and cheeks definitely flushing, Dennis is sure of it this time. He doubts he looks any better, slack-jawed and burning impossibly hot as his shoulders tighten up so high that he’s sure they’re reaching his ears.

Dennis realizes he may not be straight after Amy kisses him. In an effort to find answers, he finds himself asking for Robby's help.
