Big smile, hands on his hips, eyes lit up behind that black mask.
“I’m Robin!” Tim squeals, but it sounds nothing like him. His voice matches his size and demeanor, high pitched and soft and…happy. He lets out a giggle, flexing his arms in the mirror, giving a kick and a belated hi–yah.
“That’s not a Robin uniform,” Bruce points out belatedly. It’s not the part Jason was noticing, but he’s right. It’s thin cloth, and too loose. The right colors and shapes, Jason supposes, but still, there's something off about it.
“Well, that and he hasn’t met us, yet,” Dick points out. “He’s not old enough.”
“But this is supposed to be his first day as Robin," Damian argues. Jason agrees—something is very, very wrong.

Summary
He squared his shoulders and opened the door and…. There was a kid. A small awfully familiar kid with black hair and acid green eyes. Tim’s latest stab wound throbbed a little in pain at the recognition of its creator. Tim knew logically that this isn’t his Damien, the kid in front of him is too young, too small and too meek to be the Damian of his universe, but that doesn’t stop the apprehension from setting in at the sigh of him. Tim had learned along time ago never to underestimate Damian, no matter how small he looks.
Tim looked around at what he had thought would be a guest suite, but in this world is more likely a cell. There’s a thin mattress on the floor and a lousy piece of fabric that probably should make it up for a blanket. The only other thing in the room was a basket in the conner for waste. It was cold and bare and completely inhumane and in the middle of it sits Damian.
This Damian looks to be around 7 or 8 years old, but it is a little hard to tell with the purple and blue bruise that fill half his face. His left eye is swollen shut, but the right one tries to make up for this by being so wide it almost looks like it’s going to pop out.

"Please..." His voice was a mere hoarse whisper. Jason looked at him and went to his side, offering his hand a gentle squeeze. He let his hand rest in his when he saw Tim was uncomfortable with the squeezing.
"Yeah, Babybird?" He asked. He'd slipped into his comforting a child voice, his words much softer than he thought, even to his own ears.
"He won't-" Tim shuddered, looking at Jason with haunted blue eyes. That look, Jason knew all too well, would never go away. He could hide it, but this... It would always stay with him, to the grave and maybe even after. "He won't leave me alone. Please get him out of my head." Tim began sobbing again, while Damian and Jason exchanged a knowing glance with one another.
"We're working on it, okay Timbers? We'll help you-" Help him what, exactly? Get better? You couldn't just up and 'get better' from this. Recover? He could, but Jason knew the poor kid would be dealing with this the rest of his life, and even then, recovery wasn't a guarantee. "We'll help you manage, okay?" He decided to say.
Tim let out a few shuddering breaths and a weak sob.

Tim grabs a fistful of hair, and gives up on trying to be coordinated. They’re not sparring, and even if they were, Damian is slippery as an eel, worming out of any pin Tim throws at him. “Did you think you could—hah—comfort me.” He sneers at him between panted breaths, and Tim feels his pulse rise, feels the words sink into his skin and burn. “That we would commiserate? Us two forsaken?”
Tim splits his knuckles on Damian’s teeth. Damian’s smile turns bloody.
