Summary
Last year, Blanc convinced Jud to release some tension by fighting him, and they haven’t seen each other in person since, though they have stayed in touch. Now, Jud is living and working in a different parish, something he may have forgotten to mention to Blanc. When Blanc shows up to investigate a double homicide in the area, they’re both surprised to see each other, but quickly adjust enough to work the case together. But sooner or later, they’ll have to address some of the remaining questions about how they fit into each other’s lives and what they want.

“You do,” Jud says seriously.

Six months after that fated goodbye hug, Blanc and Jud find themselves going on a business trip to Italy.
