Summary
A war rages between Camelot and the magical kingdom of Avalon. King Uther and King Balinor’s armies have been trapped in a stalemate for the last three years. However, King Uther suspects that the war is about to tip into his favor, now that he has kidnapped Avalon’s young prince. Little does he know that fate has a different plan and that his own son may be the undoing of his vicious plot.
Prince Arthur, barely a dozen summers old, watches as his father locks a young boy in the highest tower of Camelot. Curiosity draws him in, but it’s Merlin that keeps drawing him back. “well, you’re all quite thick.” merlin hummed, steadying his breathing as he rubbed his belly. he was dressed in a simple gown as he slid into bed, holding onto his back as he stretched and laid down. he cleared his throat in an attempt to hide his labored breathing, tiring himself out from being so heavily pregnant.

He finished, disdain dripping from his voice despite the arrogant smirk upon his lips. Merlin dropped his snubbed hand back to his side, almost trembling with a feeling he had not had to face since he was a child - the want to hit someone.

Summary
The Perilous Lands belong to the Dragonborn family, a most ancient noble family who’ve ruled since the Fisher King was injured. They have been treating the Fisher King’s injury ever since to prevent the infection from spreading onto the land, as the land of Elmet was tied to the ancient and powerful sorcerer.
The Dragonborns are warriors, as even the women of the Royal family are trained in combat.
Princess Muriel is the Dragonborn heir to the throne, and is primarily in charge of protecting Elmet’s borders with Camelot due to the many issues at that border in the past.
One day, however, she leads her Knights across the border to help a group of outnumbered Camelotian Knights against a group of bandits who turn out to be human traffickers.
It is like this that she meets Crown Prince Arthur of Camelot. -

It doesn’t look much different from all the others, it’s only the Pendragon crest that makes it stand out to him. A golden dragon on a field of red. Merlin imagines the majestic creature lying on its side, bleeding out an ocean of blood and painting the vast expanse of a battlefield with crimson-red. There’s no fire, no magic, no life left in it.
It’s a chilling image. Merlin feels the coldness of death in his very human bones.
