12th Perigee's Eve parties are stupid, and they're even stupider when they're three days long. Not like you'd ever been to one before, but there is no way they could have ever been anything other than stupid.
It doesn't help that you desperately miss your closest friend. When all of you one day just got dropped into this world that is neither Alternia nor Earth, because it's kind of both, with no apparent explanation and memories from other timelines you shouldn't be having, Aradia wasn't with you.
And it really doesn't help that the one person you least want to do so decides that now is a good time to bother you about things from the past you would rather forget.
Maybe this is it. Maybe this is when you and him finally do kill each other.
Or is it? A lot can happen over the course of three days...(The title probably sounded a lot better in my head than it does in practice. But it is what it is now lmao
This fic is not actually very much about Christmas. It only happens to take place at a Christmas party.)

Summary
Humanstuck AU where Karkat is a bartender at a small alternative dive bar, and Sollux is a computer programmer who works a remote job. After getting his heart devastatingly broken by his used-to-be girlfriend, Sollux moves to a new city and state and holes up in his new apartment for four months, even getting his groceries delivered, before his online gaming friends encourage him to at least go get a drink at a bar and talk to another person. But OH NO, the bartender is extremely cute and charming!
