It was a little girl.
"Mr. Fox-Mountchristen's unfortunately in a meeting right now,” Alex began slowly, “but I could take a message?"
"Oh." The girl paused. "You're not Mr. Hunter."
Alex starts a new job as Henry's new assistant. Henry's daughter keeps calling the office and leaving him messages.

"I'm so sorry I'm late, we had an emergency..." He was unable to hear the rest of the conversation. He allowed his gaze to linger over her for a moment. It had been at least a year since he’d seen her more than passing in the Ministry’s Atrium. She was flushed, clearly from rushing to get to the shoot. Her hair was tamed in loose curls cascading down her back. She was wearing a petite black suit and heels. Everything fit to perfection and Draco noticed his body responding in turn. She shifted in her chair and her wool blazer opened to reveal a bodysuit, lace trailed down her body and dipped to a low plunging neckline. It wasn’t often he was rendered speechless by former enemy swots.
Merlin, fuck.

Summary
Alphas and Omegas depend on each other for relief from their designation. The longer that they deny their bodies' needs the worse the symptoms become. An Omega's heats will only get worse and more frequent, while an Alpha loses his control completely and is launched into a rut which affects not only his body but his mind.
The Ministry launches a program to help deal with the Alpha/Omega problem in the Wizarding World. They offer the chance for relief without admitting to your designation. A matching system where an Omega can use an Alpha to see her through her heat and an Alpha can use an Omega to keep his sanity. The best part is it is completely anonymous, the matches are decided based on mutual attraction to each other's pheromones, and a potion prohibits the brain from recognising your partner.
Hermione Granger has never been with an Alpha, her heats are becoming unbearable. Draco Malfoy begins to lose control of his body in his fight against his own designation. Ultimately they surrender to the program, knowing they have to face the inevitable lest they lose their own or take someone else's right to consent.

She had been called down to Emergency for a 6 month old infant boy, the original diagnosis was splinching as he had been apparated in with an injured adult but the minute Hermione looked at him she knew better and immediately cast the counter curse and began healing the open wound on the child’s chest. Someone had cast a sectumsempra on him. The Cutting curse. What sort of person would do that to a baby? It couldn't have been an accident. The hit had been dead on and with a target that small it had to have been deliberate.
