Summary
Dick Grayson is growing hopeless. A string of horrific murders have taken place in Bludhaven, the city seems to be growing worse, he's been fired from his job on the force, and to top it all off, he and Barbara have called it quits. For good.
Everything seems to be falling apart. Until Wally gives him the idea to ask Tim Drake to be his hero partner.
The only problem?
Tim has been distancing himself from their entire family for the last few months and Dick has absolutely no idea why. Little does he know Tim is hiding a secret and has been shouldering that secret by himself this entire time.
And despite all of the craziness in his life, Dick is still a big brother first and foremost and his little brother needs him. Besides, there's nothing Dick Grayson can't fix.

Tuesday morning: a video was uploaded to one of the deep web black markets. The footage, shot on those grainy vintage camcorders. But Tim knew that boy in the thumbnail; his eyes had memorized him, the heft and shape and dazzle of him, imprinting like an afterimage.

“Oh, like you’re never a dick,” Tim says, rolling his eyes. “You’ve always been the one on my case the most about it, and you started all this in the first place when you disobeyed my orders and put us all in danger, so why would you think we’re good now?”
“I didn’t say we were good,” Kon bites out. “I wanted to apologize, actually, but you’re making it really fucking hard.”
“Oh, now you want to apologize,” Tim says bitterly. “Now that you know my name and you got what you wanted, I get an apology, huh?”
“Tim,” Kon starts, and Tim growls.
“Don’t call me that,” Tim snaps.
or Young Justice has a trust problem after Apokolips. Tim doesn't know where he stands with the team anymore after learning that half of them mistrust him. He doesn't know where he stands with Kon in particular.

Expect Kon isn’t coming.
Kon said he’d always come if Tim called, and now he isn’t coming.
Tim is alone.
“Kon, please,” Tim begs.
Kon is taking some time away from the team after Lex mind-controlled him when the Tower gets attacked. Tim, unfortunately, pays the price for this.

He doesn’t, but Tim prays he won’t mind.
“Where?” Dick demands then winces at his tone.
“San Francisco,” Tim answers.
Tim was never meant to be a permanent part of the Batfamily. He took on the role of Robin because Batman needs a Robin, but Batman has a Robin and even more people in his corner now and he doesn’t need Tim.
or Tim is used to putting his wants up on a shelf in favor of what the people around him need, but maybe it’s time for him to take them down, dust them off, and see what’s inside.

“Oh, so this is my fault?”
“You wanted to be in charge,” Superboy said. Robin couldn’t see him from behind but he could certainly hear the shrug in his voice. Maybe that’s an exercise for him, trying to see how many times he can shrug “nonchalantly” in a day. Maybe he was hoping his shoulders would fill out more from the movement and he would be able to match up to Superman's one day.
The thought made Robin snicker to himself as he retorted with an eyeroll, “I’m not the ‘one-in-charge’ I’m the ‘one-who’s-supposed-to-be-here.’”
“Do you roll your eyes so much to make them stronger?” Superboy asked, “So you can find clues as easy as the big bat one day?”

In a world where Young Justice takes a bit longer to form the young heroes find themselves falling together while having a few more years' experience under their belt. They didn't set out to form a team and Robin certainly didn't anticipate how deeply he would grow to trust his friends. Superboy, although annoying, was quickly becoming one of the most important people in Tim's life. Robin was used to being prepared for anything (to an extent which could be called paranoid), but Superboy was beginning to make him reckless.
