People keep coming up to Kaveh to congratulate him. Kaveh doesn’t really know why, and he’s a little too scared to ask at this point, so he heads back home, content if not a little bemused.
He is, unfortunately, reminded of it the very next day, when the door slams open and Al-Haitham stalks in. “Mind telling me why everyone was congratulating me today?” he demands. “About your pregnancy?"
Or: Al-Haitham is, without a doubt, the most annoying person Kaveh knows. Maybe the world’s second-most annoying person can help Kaveh figure him out.

“You’re not carrying me,” he says with a weak kick.
Alhaitham stops and lets his own legs take his full weight again; Kaveh’s ankle does something terrible for his self esteem and then he crumples almost to the sand before Alhaitham’s arm catches him again. One arm, because that’s all he needs to take Kaveh’s weight. He’s such a show off for a man whose ass never grew in. “Fuck’s sake,” Kaveh mutters to himself.
“You were saying?”
“Just—go.”
Alhaitham snorts. “Am I your servant now?”
“Yes,” Kaveh snarls.

“I’ll be home by seven,” Rinne says.
Niki sighs. He knows what Rinne is asking him. “I have work until eight,” he tells Rinne, “so if you want dinner from me tonight you’ll have to wait, okay! No dragging me out of work early!”
Rinne grins. “Your cooking’s always worth waitin’ for, honey! Okay, byeeee~!”
And with his signature, hyena-like cackle, Rinne slams the door to the practice room shut behind him.
“Niki-han,” Kohaku says. Niki cranes his neck to meet Kohaku’s eyes, but as soon as he does Kohaku gets this strange look on his face and looks away.
“Hm? What’s up?”
There’s an awkward pause when Kohaku doesn’t answer, still looking away from Niki. And then HiMERU breaks the silence, saying, “Shiina… does Amagi regularly call you by terms of endearment?”
Niki laughs. “Terms of endearment? What are you—” His eyes widen, and he shoots up from where he was laying on the floor, a couple stray granola bars falling off of his chest at the movement. “Oh. Oh, Rinne-kun called me honey.”

"That reminds me…” Kanata says. He goes to continue, but pauses as Sengoku shifts against him, taking advantage of his small figure to curl up in a small ball on the bench and sandwich himself between the plush monster costume and Kanata before seeming to fall into an even deeper sleep than before. Kanata’s eyes flick up to Chiaki’s, and Chiaki does his best to hold back the laughter that threatens to burst out of him, the scene somehow both so familiar and so bizarre that he doesn’t know how to react other than laughing.
Kanata smiles gently, eyes sparkling with mirth under the moon and the warm light from the streetlamps that line the amusement park’s paths. “Would you call Ryuseitai a family, Chiaki?”
