But his eyes caught on the bookcase next to the door, on the picture of his parents dancing in the swirling snow, and all the words died in his throat. Flowers were one of mother nature's most beautiful creations, their interwoven design of delicate petals were breathtaking even to the most cold-hearted of people. It was for this reason it had always made sense that when you first met your soulbond you would cough up something so beautiful.
There was symbolism to each type of flower, if your relationship was destined to come easily with little complications you might get forget-me-nots with their small soft petals. But Yuuri had heard horror stories of people who spent long minutes hacking up a storm because they ended up with peonies or tulips.
