Satoru’s mouth flaps open and closed. Suguru coughs again. Satoru’s taking an awful long time to answer—maybe it would be best to just reveal the prank now, before Suguru could embarrass himself any further—
“Yes,” Satoru breathes out emphatically, his eyes sparkling with the force of a thousand diamonds. Suguru almost wants to look away, but he can’t seem to move his eyes from Satoru’s beaming expression. “Yes,” Satoru repeats, and all of a sudden, he’s clutching Suguru’s hands in his own, “let’s go right now.”
“Um,” Suguru says. “What?”

Do not try to make any further remarks that would compromise your relationship with a coworker. Do not fucking do it. It is your second day on the job. This is a coworker. Don’t fucking do it. “Pardon me, but maybe you should check a mirror every once in a while.”
“Frosted bears! Frosting!” the voice booms once more from the other end of the room. He might be hearing quiet snickering, but when he looks over, Shoko’s got as much of a bored face as she did when she first appeared with Gojo.
“You’re kinda funny!” Gojo laughs. It’s full and bright, but Suguru has to flinch to avoid any spittle as Gojo screeches and it kind of ruins the effect. “Shoko, this guy’s kinda entertaining. Which is exactly why it’s so bad that we’re gonna have to be enemies.”
