Ekko, who was busy spinning himself in one of Viktor’s office chairs, slowed to a stop with an exaggerated groan, dragging the toe of his shoes along Viktor’s floor. “Vi, how many more times are you gonna make us—”
“Until it’s perfect, Ekko.” Vi interrupted brusquely. “Everyone needs to be on the same page about what they’re doing, where they’re supposed to be, and what we’re after. We’re not gonna get another shot at this for months if we fail.”

Viktor has to attend to "present" his research to Heimerdinger. He should be in and out quickly—just long enough to get Vi into place and dip. If all goes smoothly, he'll never have to interact with Jayce Talis at all. Simple, right?

Summary
Serious emotions had never been Klaus’s strong suit. Or rather, he’d always been far too inclined towards them. But he’d built up some nice, sturdy walls to keep it all contained and out of the way, and he didn’t particularly want to go knocking them down anytime soon. There was far too much held inside it for that.
So when Dave - sweet, beautiful, too-good-for-him Dave - told him that he was gorgeous, he laughed it off with an exaggerated parody of self-confidence. When he told him that he was brave, he made him laugh with the kinds of stories that proved otherwise. And when he told him he was kind, he found a way to change the topic before Dave realised he was either mistaken or lying.
Written for the prompt "klaus having trouble accepting any compliments or nice words form dave, so dave uses sex as way to get klaus to be okay with all of the loving and kind words dave wants to adorn him with".

Panicked, Klaus stumbled over himself trying to find the right words, his palm running down his chest before grabbing a hold of his satchel. “Oh, um...nothing, I uh—I just said I...broke my backpack getting off the plane.” He said, lips curling in towards his teeth, eyebrow cocked in embarrassment. He only hoped Dave would believe this new steaming pile of horse shit.
