Amphoreus’ first solar eclipse was meant to be a time for celebration. But the sight of daylight devoured by darkness dredges Phainon’s old memories and transformations with them in a frenzied haze.
Mydei proves to Phainon that his appearances, and the past entangled within them, has never mattered to him.

Tim swallows, his tongue suddenly heavier than he ever thought was possible. He looked at his dad, really looked. The salt and pepper hair, the pale sallow color of his skin and the deliberate way in which he sat, as if he still wasn't used to being able to move again.
Slowly, he reaches out and pulls his dad into a hug. Jack seems startled at first but reciprocates quickly. Tim sighs. It was true, only an idiot wouldn't be able to see the pattern. The lifestyle was addicting and he'd die before he ever thought about retiring.

He remembered how Bruce had walked towards him, brushing the dirt off of Dick's face and pinched his cheeks. He recalled sticking his own tongue out at the man and the low — but free, so free — chuckle Bruce let out in response. And Dick reminisced on how warm he felt in its wake.
Large age gaps between friends existed.
It made perfect sense.
Except...it didn't.
