“I don’t know. But, he’s a good guy. You know that," Kai added.
“Yeah, I know,” Beomgyu admitted, but it didn’t help.
The plan had been so, so, so fucking simple. Forget Kang Taehyun. But, he couldn’t do it.
For Beomgyu, life and love are hard as a recently out trans guy. It's been hard to trust anyone, let alone himself and his own feelings. It's basically killing him that his crush is the only person in his life who knew him before he transitioned.
Taehyun's in love with Beomgyu but Beomgyu seems to hate his guts. When Beomgyu tells him he can’t live his life because he struggles financially, Taehyun turns a joke into a reality by accepting Beomgyu’s request for monetary support through an online forum. As their friendship finally begins to warm both in real life and through the internet, it’s become very obvious that the only problem with this plan is that Beomgyu might kinda, sorta have no idea his platonic “Sugar Buddy'' is also his physics tutor.

Wow. as someone who doesn't really have a plan for myself, or knows what life is going to hold for me, this work really made me realize that life can be slow. i don't need to rush into everything nor do i need to figure everything out immediately. i don't need to make a huge mark on the world, i don't need to please everyone, i don't need to be known. life can be slow and aimless, which is the beauty of time passing and humans growing old. life was never meant to be measured by metrics of success but rather getting to a point where we can really just be. the job i hold or the education i receive will never determine if my life was one worth living. what will determine that is if i was able to settle down into a future that holds nothing but love in all of its pure, bare forms
i think this really changed my outlook on my life and how i want to live it. thank you author :)

He spent more time in his room, cracked less jokes during practice, declined innocent hangouts because he was “too tired” or “had other plans.”
It genuinely came out of nowhere. But that was the art of depression: surprise attacks that lacked a catalysing force.

In the driveway of the house, an American limo that certainly hadn’t been there before was parked right next to the car that Ouma knew belonged to the boy’s uncle. He couldn’t stop from a sneer overtaking his own face.
“Hey, Saihara-chan, do you want t-” He didn’t even get to finish his sentence before three figures popped out of the front door, bringing with them the sound of a heated argument.
“You can’t stop us from seeing our daughter!” the woman of the trio yelled back at Saihara’s uncle as he tried to push them out of the house.
Just the fact they could bring so much despair to Saihara had his blood boiling.
(Or: Sahara's uncle and his wife were nice enough to let Ouma come home with the detective over summer break. At first, he finds himself distrusting the two, wondering where their conditional kindness would end. As he gets to know them, though, he realizes the real people he should be looking out for are Sahara's parents, who show up out of nowhere one day during the break, proclaiming they want to see their daughter.)
