Something touches his shoulder, and it takes Shouta a minute to realize it’s Nemuri trying to get his attention.
“Hey, Shouta,” she says, “Are you alright? You don’t — you don’t seem alright.”
He doesn’t want to answer that question. He doesn’t think he can. A smiling face in a picture (he’s never going to get any older). A falling building. Shirakumo’s mother is wailing.
So Shouta keeps haunting the corners of the kitchen, trying to find where his mom hid the potatoes, the ginger, the apples, the cabinet with the spices.
Curry rice, love, friendship that transcends death, and other occurrences in the life of Aizawa Shouta.

With nothing better to do, Hizashi had left for the radio station that morning at 5.

It’s inevitable. Tiredness. They will describe to you the physical sense of their exhaustion, losing their will to get out of bed, unable to perform basic hygienic routines. They’ll tell you how they sleep from early in the evening into the afternoon, because they’re just so tired all the time. And then, they’ll tell you of the metaphorical sense. Of how their life is an endless cycle, repeating the same motions over and over again, how the monotony is exhausting in its security, how they don’t have that drive to move forward, to exist, to change and be better. When you read of depression, you will read of being tired. Midoriya Izuku knows this well.

But here he is. He's got blood smeared across his face- dripping from his busted lip and the slash across his cheekbone from his mothers wedding ring- and its running into the rain water beneath his feet as he's hunched over, out of breath. His feet are scraped and bleeding all to hell, and his hair is sticking to his forehead from the sweat and rain.
There's anger, and there's panic.
Or: Bakugou gets kicked out, and he calls the only person he can. His life changes.
