Summary
Jeongin has been helping Seungmin out with his work as a camboy for two years now and everything has been going great thus far. That's until a certain fan of Seungmin's seems to be requesting special treatment, treatment that Seungmin is all too eager to give. There's a noticeable difference in Seungmin's attitude when recording for this guy, and as the videographer himself, Jeongin can see it all.
But is Jeongin willing to risk his job, more importantly his friendship, because he's a little jealous?

“Do you kiss whoever you want?”
He pauses, and Jeongin suddenly wonders if he had gone too far this time. There’s a contemplative silence between them before Seungmin’s eyes darken at the edges. “I think if it was someone I wanted, it’d mean something to me.”
There’s something about the way he says it that makes a fire burst in Jeongin’s gut and burn down his veins until he’s dizzied with it. Flames flicker against his eyes and he blames them when his sight goes blurry. He vaguely notices his hands twisting into the material of Seungmin’s hoodie and Seungmin’s own hands running up his legs.
"Can I kiss you?"
or, Jisung describes Minho's love like he's drowning in it, so Jeongin doesn't understand why Seungmin leaves him feverish.

Summary
Ever since moving to the United States, he had bottled up his feelings, moving through the world with utmost discipline and deliberation. Teachers always commented that he was so mature for his age, in a world where students skipped class to smoke weed behind the bleachers and seventeen-year-olds still threw food at each other in the cafeteria. He had been the President of National Honor Society, the captain of the baseball team, and in his junior year, he’d even stepped in to cover a minor role in the school musical, when it became apparent that the dude was suffering from an intense bout of food poisoning. Keeping oneself rigidly within the lines was the only way to succeed, for a young boy who immigrated from Korea with a thick accent and wired glasses that were too big for his face. Seungmin didn’t do feelings.
Though that would probably explain the tightness in his chest whenever someone so much as mentioned Felix’s name in his vicinity.
In which Seungmin struggles to reconcile romantic feelings, friendships, and his cultural identity in his second year of college.

12/10 would recommend this fic
Let’s just go through some highlights:
1. It includes Reddie which like that’s the otp
2. This author did fucking RESEARCH for one of the chapters and I can vouch that their hard work paid off bc I’ve done Mock Trial before
3. The characters are pretty accurate for a canon divergence
4. The ships mentioned are nice n subtle as to not take over the entire plot
5. In general it’s just very well written
6. Just the right amount of fix-it with the whole thing still being believable and achievable
7. Just read the fucking story already man!! It’s worth it, trust meHappy reading and send praise to the author when you can! :)
