Bucky Barnes likes to sleep on his stomach with his head rested on his folded arms. He sleeps best in the fall when the temperature drops and a thin blanket is all he needs to stay comfortable. The sun is welcome in the daytime and it can shine down on him and turn his skin golden while it's high in the sky all it wants, but at night when there's a sleeping body next to his, he needs the chill in the air that fall brings.

“No one is laughing,” Natasha replies. “There is no one called the ‘Winter Soldier,’ and if you have a boyfriend, you certainly haven’t introduced him to us.”
“JARVIS, can you tell me if Bucky is in the building?” he asks instead of responding to Nat.
There is a long pause and then JARVIS’ clear voice comes down from the ceiling. “I have no records of anyone who goes by the name ‘Bucky’ entering the building.”
Or: Steve wakes from a nightmare only to find that Bucky no longer exists.
