1. Goro Akechi was sitting, alive, at the counter, chin on his hands in a graceful, yet clearly annoyed and impatient manner, staring at Sojiro as if he was trying to send a bullet through his skull with the sheer power of his gaze (for all Akira knew, maybe he was).
2. No one else could see or hear Goro Akechi.
3. Goro Akechi had absolutely no idea that Akira could.

When he glanced up again, a single cracked eye, seaglass green as always, was watching him in amusement. As if in an excuse, the blond grabbed for the half-eaten cup of gelato that sat in the other man’s lap, bringing a spoonful to his mouth and licking his lips as he focused his eyes back forward on driving.
He’d told Joseph that if he could manage to swipe the keys to one of Lisa Lisa’s convertibles, he’d show him his favorite spot. The conversation that had led to Caesar uncharacteristically goading Joseph into stealing from their respected instructor eluded him in his memory, but he couldn’t say he regretted it.
He just hoped Joseph liked it.
