Summary
It's 1977 and Tom Simons, a student at one of the most prestigious all-boys boarding schools in the country, is given the task of showing a new student around. The new student in question is William Gold, and after meeting him, Tommy quickly realizes that for the first time in his life, he's come face to face with someone he can't decipher. From this blooms Tommy's strange obsession with the new student and the heaps and heaps of guilt he feels for always having Wilbur on his mind.

There aren’t many things that can catch Wilbur off guard, let alone render him speechless. Some days, even the sky could split in two and he would be so utterly unimpressed with the world, he wouldn’t even blink.

Summary
There’s plenty of reasons why Wilbur should want Tommy as far away from him as possible, but he’s oddly calm considering the circumstances. If he wasn't in a car park chain smoking cigarettes with a bruise covering half of his face, you could almost say he looks peaceful.

The sky outside is still dim— painted in a warm grey that slowly gives way to the orange light of the rising sun someplace outside the room's view. It can't be later than five in the morning. Sleep is sticky in Wilbur's eyes, and he'd have lied back down on any other day.

Wilbur resists the urge to open his arms for a stretch. "Did you?", he asks.

The good thing in question is the stream and the end of it means that Tommy is now left to the simmer in his stomach as the trio begins to wind down. Wilbur's finally been revived, given another try at life. There's so much for him to do, and yet for some reason he still finds himself outside of Tommy's door.
He isn't sure why. He figures that he'll antagonize the younger boy, see just how far he could push him until he snapped.
What he didn't expect was to be grinding up against Tommy less than an hour later, the younger boys lips on his own as Wilbur pressed him against the wall and took him apart piece by piece. He wasn't complaining though, he very much was not complaining. Tommy had always looked so beautiful giving in to him.
