“Kara,” she sighed, her voice gravelly and thick.
The blue pants were unmistakable, as was the red cape that obscured the hero’s head as it cascaded towards the ground. With a painfully slow creak, the chain rotated as Kara’s arms started paddling wildly, and Lena watched with a glum, weary expression as blonde curls and a red face became visible below her.
“Oh! You’re awake!” Kara said, her voice garbled and strained, yet still full of relief.
Lena let out a thin sigh as she limply dangled, manacles painfully biting into her wrists as her cut palms smarted. Things weren’t looking great for her at the moment and the fact that Kara had somehow ended up chained upside down beside her only further added salt to Lena’s wounds.
“What are you doing here?” Lena groaned.
“Oh … you know … just hanging out.”

Summary
After Lena finds out Kara's Supergirl and has been lying to her the whole time, she leaves National City without a word to anyone, catching a bus with the intention of getting as far away from her as possible, only to be tracked down by the caped hero.
Confronting Kara on her lies, hidden feelings are confessed and wounded pride gets in the middle of things, with Lena unsure of whether she'll ever be able to look at the woman she loves in the same way ever again. Hurt and betrayed, Lena says goodbye, putting some time and distance between the two of them as she tries to come to terms with the truth about who Kara really is and the conflicting feelings she has towards her.
