He sighed as a small, blue petal flittered to land atop the dolls.
His brows drew inwards. Where had that come from? The windows were closed and he hadn’t noticed anything that looked like that petal anywhere on the grounds.
He held the petal between his fingers. It was soft, velvety. The blue reminded him of their eyes.

Summary
The silence of the castle was its own living thing, and Alucard felt like he himself was killing it. The entire place was now one vast, echoing chamber that had once been filled with it’s own love, then with personal hate, and now, finally, with nothing but the reflective emptiness of Alucard’s emotions, cold and empty with the loss of his own will. The castle was nothing but an empty shell now. The blonde stood in the large, dust-ridden hall, the faint scent of iron and something far more sickening clinging to the air like sweat on his own body. Weeks had passed since he’d had to put Taka and Sumi to rest, he’d like to call it that. Since he’d watched their bodies fall before his own eyes, betrayed and violated by their hands. It had been weeks, or perhaps centuries; time had lost all meaning.
Or,
Alucard has been struggling with keeping his own mind at rest ever since he had been made a fool out of and left a vulnerable, sad mess by Taka and Sumi. He self reflects on his own loneliness and spirals in to nothing but darkness as his memories and own guilt haunt him.

Summary
He looks out of sorts in so many ways— his clothing is askew, his hair is mussed and his eyes are glazed over. There’s a sheen of sweat on his skin, layering on top of the scales you had only just discovered minutes ago. You would be worried for his safety if he hadn’t just told you exactly what is going on.
“Can you repeat that?” you ask dumbly, frozen where you are. It’s not that you hadn’t understood his words, it's just that you can’t quite comprehend what’s going on.
Rut?
“‘m in rut, heat, whatever you humans like to call mating cycles,” he repeats hoarsely. He shivers against your hand and you feel his whole body writhe beneath you.
In which Rafayel is suffering through his rut and you offer to help him, monster f****** style.

Summary
“You want me to beg?” The way he says it has you clenching around nothing. You hope this isn’t about to backfire in your face because you’re not sure you could live if he were to stop now.
You feign haughtiness as you stare down at him on his knees. “Beg,” you command.
You think he’s not going to do it— that he’s about to call your bluff. You watch as one corner of his mouth lifts into a smile and he throws his head back to laugh breathily. He presses a single kiss to the exposed skin of your thigh and you wait in anticipation. The silence is almost overwhelming. You can hear your heartbeat thudding in your ears and the air between the two of you is heated and still.
And then Rafayel groans, resting his warm face against your leg. “Please,” he whispers.
