Summary
They had met at a club Kurapika had wandered into late at night, head pounding and eyes swimming with exhaustion. Leorio pulled him into the bathroom and fingered him so well he saw stars, then sheepishly handed Kurapika his card. Kurapika squinted at it in the dim light of the club bathroom.
“You have a business card that says you’re a dom top?”
“Well, it helps when you want people to pay you for it.”

Summary
Leorio spent years traveling across the world, engrossing himself in his doctor work as he traveled to places big and small, helping heal people with his traveling clinic just like he had dreamed since he was a boy. It was what he had always wanted.
But what if he got an offer to go back to YorkNew, requesting him to work in one of the largest most important hospitals in the world? To be back in the city he studied in after all this time, and have a more permanent career?
He could grow comfortable there, and have a place of his own. A city he could explore all over again and settle down in.
Maybe he has traveled enough for now…
But wait– who is that short head of blonde hair weaving through the crowd? No– it can’t be.

Summary
His eyes adjust to the harsh sunlight enough for him to make out the captain’s face. He looks unbelievably young, younger than himself even. Chin length blonde hair hangs greasy in his face, over an eye patch covering his left eye. His right eye is blood red, and the sight of it sends shivers down Leorio’s spine.
“What’s your name?” he says finally.
“L— Leorio,” he says.
“You will address me as Captain, or Captain Kurapika,” he says curtly, before turning to talk to a woman. “Keep him in the brig.”
“Alright, Captain. Why though?” he hears her ask.
Leorio sees him shrug slightly. “We need a doctor,” he says, before turning away. “Welcome aboard the Scarlet Eye, Leorio.”

Summary
When an infant is left mysteriously on the steps of the Hunters' Association, it only makes sense that Leorio, the junior Zodiac with a soft heart, be the one assigned to babysit for the time being. Leorio realizes why she's been left in the Association's protection when her eyes turn a brilliant scarlet. He calls Kurapika immediately.
Now the no-longer-last of the Kurta must decide what is more important: avenging the slain Kurta clan and giving up its future, or taking care of this child with Leorio's unwavering help and letting go of its brutal past?
Leorio will fight as much as he can- with his words, his knowledge, and above all his devotion- to convince Kurapika to live for the child's sake. And if he wishes that maybe Kurapika will stay for him too, well... That's ok, right? He's allowed to dream.

“Yeah, that’s why it’s perfect!” Leorio said eagerly. His eyes sparkled. “We’re total strangers. We’re totally uninterested in a relationship right now. It’ll be totally platonic, chill, no-strings-attached. No expectations.”

However, it's never too late for second chances. Ten years later, in the height of their twenties and college careers, they meet again in the unlikeliest of places: another roller rink.

Killua almost wants to pull out his phone and get footage of this. Who knew Dr. Kurta had a flustered, soft side?
“It’s not a persona. We just have very different approaches to classroom management. Good-bye.”
And with that, Dr. Kurta hangs up the phone. Any eager, prying questions the class may’ve had die on their lips when they see the expression on Dr. Kurta’s face–Killua didn’t know that the words, “Don’t even think about acknowledging that that conversation just happened if you value your lives” could be said so eloquently with just a glare.
And they were secretly married professors!

Summary
Something fundamentally changed after that. It was as though having two people he could touch made Vash bolder, more open with his affection and more likely to reach out rather than wait to be reached out to. A kiss on the cheek when he sat down to breakfast, to the top of her head for a job well done. Meryl basked in it.
But now so was Wolfwood- Nick, she corrected herself again. His touches were less frequent than Vash’s, and far more careful, purposeful. Vash gave affection and love as naturally as breathing, but Wolfwood held his cards much closer to his chest.
