holy. shit. holy shit?? holy shit!!!! i did actually stop halfway through to reread the manga and like…. THAT MADE IT HURT WORSE??? this is just so lyrical, so thoughtful and creative, so BEAUTIFULLY cyclical, and it just pulls at your damn heartstrings all the time. my annotations on my kindle broke the hundreds. god…… i was like, *SPOILER ALERT IF ANYONE IS READING THIS LMFAO* no way there’s gonna be like a wrapped-up-in-a-bow happy ending for all this was, but that true ending??? oof. felt like i got the wind knocked out of me in the best way. so fucking well done.

“You remember the Phantom Thieves of Hearts business a few years back?” The director asks. “It won’t be a complete one to one, but I do have to admit that this series’ plot is loosely based on it.”
Okay, now that’s just unfair. Now Ren has to take the role.
So that’s how Ren becomes a Featherman Ranger.
Or, Amamiya Ren becomes a Featherman actor, bases his character off Akechi, and the real Akechi Goro disastrously simps from afar.
