Summary
Wei Ying, an ardent fan of singer-songwriter Hanguang-jun, is thrilled to discover that the artist’s newest tour includes a stop in his city. Despite his financial struggles, he is determined to save enough for a ticket to finally see the man whose music quite literally saved his life.
However, Wei Ying’s hopes of attending the show are completely shattered when tragedy knocks on his door and robs him of that chance.
It is no matter though—on the night of the concert, he crosses paths with a mysterious masked stranger who somehow makes his heart sing with the same visceral, desperate ache as Hanguang-jun’s music does.
But what happens when the mask comes off, and Wei Ying finally discovers who his mystery lover really is?

Summary
Among cultivators, very few were betas, and even fewer were talented ones. In the Jiang clan, only one person fit that description: the head disciple, Wei Wuxian.
For years, he had waited for the day he would present as an alpha and earn the respect that came with it, but that day never came. Still, he excelled in nearly every discipline, carving out a name for himself as one of the most notorious beta cultivators of his generation, for better or for worse.
Only one person could consistently keep up with him: the still-unpresented Second Young Master of the Lan clan. Wei Wuxian took great delight in teasing him until he pushed a little too far and forced Lan Wangji's long-awaited presentation as an alpha.

He could barely sweep a look across the tiny space before the door is slammed shut and locked behind him.
This is where he will be spending the next 7 years of his life while his younger brother becomes a lawyer.
Even as he takes in the hateful looks of his cellmates, he tells himself it’s worth it. 7 years in prison against his brother’s entire happiness, it’s obvious which one is better.
But…
If only he didn’t kill Mo Xuanyu.
If only Mo Xuanyu wasn’t Lan Wangji’s lover.
If only he hadn’t gotten drunk that night.
