It’s hard to imagine he managed the first hundred days without her, even--and maybe that’s why they went so badly; maybe he needs her on a fundamental level. Without Karua’s support, without the certainty that comes from protecting her, he’s adrift. He’s nothing.

‼‼ MAJOR spoilers for the ending of route 0 ‼‼
Takumi levels him with a small, creeping smile. “Aotsuki,” he says, voice grating and low as he advances with his sword in hand. His face is almost fully enshadowed, backlit by the purple fire raging behind him. His eyes glint like jewels in the darkness. “Look at you.”
Eito scrambles backwards, but Takumi is too swift; he raises his weapon and swings it towards Eito’s neck, pressing, digging into the flesh. He looks terrifying, and smells of predatory instincts coming to a head, and Eito feels afraid. Like a little animal skittering away from its death; faced with the black shroud that hangs over everything that’s ever lived, desperate and searching. It yearns to be filled, but its stomach is bottomless. Takumi’s expression is, for once, unreadable.
Eito is scared to die.
Eito has what can most easily be described as 'a nightmare'.

Takumi shut his eyes like the conversation pained him. Like it pained him. But indisputably, that would never be enough for him to retreat. No, Takumi was so vile that he would trudge on no matter how Eito felt. He didn’t care if Eito wanted him or not. He only asked after his wellbeing to appease his own guilt.

Summary
Pills and potions were sometimes difficult to swallow, and there was more time for anxiety to build as his greatest fear inevitably came true. It was quicker this way, and more definitive. The point of no return was reached the moment the drug seeped into his veins, and it lifted the weight from his shoulders even before the substance took effect. Epsilon found an odd sort of comfort in knowing there was no going back.

Summary

Having a personal investment in the matter, he decides to do some investigating on his own. The Eleventh is no stranger to manhunts, but uncovering Dottore's true intentions will not be a simple task. How does one track down a man who is simultaneously everywhere and nowhere at once? And can one even be sure that they've found what they're looking for when they see it, in a situation where it's so easy to lose sight of the forest for the trees? Only one thing is immediately certain; the Doctor's many Segments certainly don't intend to make it easy for him.

Childe's usual attire had been disregarded for the evening; this was to be expected, in light of the formal gathering to be held in the Palace ballroom, which was now less than an hour away from starting. Dottore had known all this, of course, as well as he knew that all of the Harbingers were expected to attend the soirée for the sake of appearances, and that Childe would certainly be included amongst them. He also was vaguely aware that this meant someone would be responsible for wrangling the Eleventh up and dressing him up in something more presentable, or at least something he would fasten all the buttons on.
Whoever that person was, Dottore thought, they needed a raise.

If asked which of the segments Tartaglia has succeeded in capturing for his own schemes, Dottore is sure he is the lone embarrassment.

Only Cyno would think to pass on a timid, fragile young girl from one general to another. As much as the moniker “General Forest Watcher” irked and bewildered Tighnari, he was not so obtuse as to not understand why his fellow Rangers had picked it up in the first place. He didn't consider himself a very nurturing individual, and it felt foolish to gamble his ability to be so on a traumatized girl's well-being.
But what other options did she really have?

Tighnari returns from the city one evening to find that Collei has left on a perilous excursion into the woods to rescue a lost child. As he searches for the both of them, he thinks about what he might find - and all the things that led him to this point.

Summary
There was something else that fascinated Dottore about the Eleventh, too: he did not kiss. Perhaps he thought it too intimate, or something in Dottore’s scarred face repelled him. The reason did not really matter, but Dottore did so enjoy uncovering the answers to curious little questions. He always took careful notice of the boy’s physical reactions, of his expressions in the height of his pleasure - and, well. There were theories forming that, given the chance, he would dearly like to test. Which as it turned out, was sooner than he'd expected.
