Summary
Doesn’t matter where they are or what they’re doing, Stede loves to feel clean.
Except in the garden.
In the garden, Stede wears overalls with more dirt stains than denim and permanent grass stains at the knees. In the garden, Stede rarely wears gloves, digging into the earth with his bare hands and a smile so bright Ed could swear the flowers have been using it to photosynthesize. In the garden, Stede is messy, and Ed loves it.Series

Summary
After a chance encounter with someone from Stede's past, some of the crew realize that they don't know as much about him as they thought they did.
So they do the sensible thing and, rather than asking Stede, mount a detailed investigation. Tragically, they're several hundred years too early to start a podcast.

Summary
Stede is genuinely determined to have things resolve to everyone's satisfaction, and instinct tells him Edward prowling around on deck in the middle of the night won't be warmly received, bell or no.
He ties a robe on, hurried and careless, and heads out on deck in slippered feet. But once he's out there, squinting across the deck in the pale silver light of the full moon, there's nothing. He'd wondered if he'd find Edward at the helm, or propped in some of the rigging, staring out into the night. There's no sign of him, except for the occasional faint metallic jingle on the breeze, whipped away as soon as he hears it.
The breeze. It's hitting them just off the bow.
Stede's preoccupation with Edward's new accessory leads him to an interesting discovery.Bookmarked by oddishly

Summary
Healing isn't a linear process, old habits die hard, and sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. But with a little patience, and effort, and strategic Floor Time, Ed and Stede will find their way.
-----
Stede stops beside him, hand on the small of Ed’s back, and Ed leans into the touch, offers his cheek when he feels Stede leaning in. It’s such a tiny gesture, that buss on his beard, but Ed can’t actually remember the last time anyone thought to do it. Stede has softened Ed; Ed has allowed himself to be softened.
A year ago, if someone had told Ed he would be thinking about raising chickens, he’d have laughed himself to an early grave. Then again, a year ago, Ed expected to find himself on the wrong end of a cannon sooner or later, gone out the way of Calico Jack. Now he’s here, in a home he’s going to build with the man he loves beyond all reason, with nothing more pressing than how to fix a leaky roof or where to acquire a set of furniture not bitten with dry rot.
There are many things Ed wishes he’d done differently, but there are an equal number he wouldn’t change because they all led him here, to this kitchen on a sleepy morning, Stede’s warmth at his side.

Summary
Ed knows something’s wrong inside of him, has always known it, knows it’s not normal to feel this way when you see the person you love in tears. It's not normal to feel gratified, murderous. Ed could kill him. He could do it. He could reverse course and do what he should have done in the first place, shut this whole fuckery down. Instead, he walks to the bed and drops to his knees.
Stede meets Ed, the fisherman.

Summary
just a lil post S2E5 ditty about whims and bells and, well,
Stede realizes dimly that Ed’s hands are moving ceaselessly on his head. The frenetic jangling is nonstop, and Stede thinks of folklore, the healing divinity of bells. Thinks of the bells chasing away spirits, storms, disasters, his own made of shame and fear, and Ed’s made of much darker stuff. He works harder because Ed needs him, because this is what he has to offer, his mouth and his heart and his resolve, his unmitigated determination to bring Ed back from the brink, bell ringing a symphony as Ed’s soul is called back screaming to life.

Summary
“Getting close to bedtime, I reckon,” Stede says, a signal Ed knows means it’s time for him to leave, slink away to his dark corner of the main deck and get what sleep he can before the crew wake up. “Unless…”
Ed raises his brows. “Unless what?”
“You wanna do handies?”
Ed chokes on his brandy.
Ed teaches Stede about handies.

Summary
Ed’s attempt to get into his new neighbour’s designer slacks takes an unexpected turn when the film they were planning to watch gets mixed up with an entirely different sort of movie.
Stede frowns in puzzlement at the video sleeve. “That’s an… interesting spelling of ‘centurion,’” he says, wrinkling his nose. “Is that, perhaps, Ecclesiastical Latin? I confess I’m not very familiar with the post-Classical period.”
“Yeah, mate, that one’s not a, uh. Not a very ecclesiastical movie.”
“Oh!” exclaims Stede, looking up. “So you’ve watched it already, then? Is it any good?”

Summary
“You want us to capture him at Spanish Jackie’s,” Izzy says after a long moment, flat and disbelieving.
“He will face pirate justice,” Blackbeard says darkly. “For his – his many crimes.”
“Boss...” Izzy begins, and now his face is doing something else, and it’s even worse.
“His crimes against piracy, which as I stated just now are many, such as – such as –”
“You could send me to kill him,” Izzy suggests, and it’s almost gentle, which is the absolute worst thing.
“Pirate justice,” Ed hisses, trying for menacing. “Pirate crimes.”

Summary
Stede seems determined to win Edward back. It must be why he keeps “accidentally” showing up in Edward’s life.
Izzy scoffs. “He just doesn’t learn, does he? Tell him Blackbeard has no use for apologies.”
“Yeah,” Edward says. “That’s true. I don’t. But also, unrelated to that other thing, what else did he say about me?”
Frenchie blinks. “Um. Nothing? The message came tied to a seagull’s leg so. You know. Not much real estate on those little papers. Can’t write a lot, can you?” He straightens suddenly. “Oh, I still have it!”
He fishes a crumpled, wind-dampened piece of paper from his pocket and drops it into Edward’s hand. When Edward unfurls it, he sees only a series of poorly-drawn images: The Revenge with a little triangle sail, a rope ladder and an arrow, a caricature of Stede looking like he’s crying.
“We really need to teach you guys how to read,” Edward notes.

Summary
When Stede Bonnet acquired a lighthouse commission to escape the suffocating walls of his home and marital bed, he resigned himself to a lifetime of emptiness of a different, yet equally crushing, sort, losing himself in work and indulging in his silly daydreams of adventures on the high seas in isolation. Until the arrival of his new—and singularly odd—wickie disrupts his dreary existence and awakens him to the opportunity for friendship and perhaps more. Yet Stede is plagued by fearful dreams of the ocean depths, and Ed may not be the only one harboring secrets.
