Shane wipes his eyes, still catching his breath. "What, you don't have any Russian towns with rude names?"
Ilya's dark brows knit together, his eyes drifting toward the ceiling as he mentally catalogs his homeland's geography. His fingers drum against the countertop, leaving small prints in the dusting of protein powder Shane spills. "There is Dobrye Pchely? Means kind bees."
Shane's laughter fades into a soft, genuine smile. "Okay, but that is fucking adorable." He leans his hip against the counter and takes in the morning light catching the stubble on Ilya's jaw. "How is Russia cuter than Canada?" he marvels, voice warm with affection.
Ilya's shoulders square defensively, chin jutting forward. "Russia is not cute. We have sensible names, not pant names!"
"There's also a town called Dildo," Shane tells him, eyebrows raised in challenge.

Summary
Ilya’s hand wraps around his bare wrist and squeezes. Shane barely stops himself from collapsing to his knees.
The pressure lights up every receptor of his touch-starved nervous system, wrenching a small, pained noise from the back of his throat. Every muted sensation comes flooding back so intensely that it almost hurts. He needs Ilya to hold him down until there’s nothing inside him but quiet. He wants to sink into him and disappear.
It takes Shane an entire beat to remember where they are. Fighting against the fog in his mind, he manages to drag his gaze up to meet Ilya’s.
There’s a slow-dawning horror and understanding on Ilya’s face.

Summary
Castiel is alive—which is fantastic, but with it comes the realization that Castiel is very much alive and five feet from Dean at all hours. Maybe it's the unacceptable hole left in his life when his dumb best friend and partner in (the prevention of) crime decided to go and get himself killed. Maybe it's his brother, whose high-profile career and fantastic girlfriend and first-child-on-the-way are steadily leaving Dean in the dust. Pick one. Pick all of them. The why doesn't matter so much as the what, and the what is this: Dean is pretty sure he's going completely, certifiably insane. Sure, he hasn't started wearing all his clothes inside out, and he still showers on a regular basis (anyways, that's not crazy, just a little eccentric); but there's no getting around the fact that he just threw away his life, his career, and his reputation by dragging out his mom's old necromancy book and summoning a Class A Forbidden Entity to his attic. A cranky one, too. With horrendous bed-head.

Summary
When Dean Winchester’s friend and neighbor, Garth, moves out of their duplex, he is not expecting him to be replaced with a cranky, weed-smoking recluse with zero taste in music, but that’s what he gets. But Dean soon realizes there is more behind Castiel’s brooding stare and prickly personality. There is someone worth getting to know. Someone who needs a little TLC, even if he is too stubborn to admit it.
Castiel Novak is a survivor. He has survived his parents' tragic death, He has survived being kidnapped and tortured by his own brother, and he has survived living with the constant flow of nightmares that have followed. So Castiel can certainly survive having to live next to an annoyingly cheerful (beautiful) man, with kind green eyes and an unhealthy affinity to classic rock, who is determined to be his new friend.
Or, the one where Castiel starts a friends with benefits relationship with his new neighbor, and finally starts to heal his heart.
