Nico squeezes his fist in his pocket and swallows the first, shaky instinct to shout something absurd and inappropriate about how Jason Grace has no right knowing his full name like that.
“My team calls me Angel,” he manages, which is a little more respectable. He glances around behind Jason’s head, trying to drag proper etiquette into his frontal lobe. What’s he supposed to say next? He cracks his thumbs. “You’re Jason Grace.” Dammit, fuck, that’s not it.
“Call me Jason,” Jason says, eyes squinting like a wince.
Nico winces too. “Jason, then.” Dammit. “Please don’t call me Angel.”
(Nico di Angelo meets Jason Grace in a dingy, dim-lit casino in Las Vegas. First thought: damn, he's pretty. Second thought: he is going to ruin my life.)

Richie made a laugh-adjacent noise. “Uh, yeah. What tipped you off?” he said immediately. But then he looked at Eddie out of the corner of his eye. “Do you?” he asked, sounding less sure.
“So fucking much,” Eddie said.

She and Rome didn’t really have time to process that whole situation, considering it was immediately eclipsed by their personal apocalypse, but Ken’s a wreck and she feels fast-churning anxious worry in her stomach watching him. He’s a liability to them, and he’s also her big brother, and he also intentionally or unintentionally almost killed himself in the last 48 fucking hours.
She also knows that now that this has been set in motion, there’s no way he’ll back down from it. She could beg him--she could get Roman to beg him--and it wouldn’t make a fucking difference. She remembers what he told her: “If dad didn’t need me right now, I don’t exactly know what I would be for.” He needs something to be for, and she gave it to him, and she doesn’t exactly feel like she can just rip it away again.
