Summary
By now even Harry recognises the pattern; he’d be an idiot not to. He’ll have sex, and in the moment it’ll be amazing. In the moment he simply is, he feels without thinking. Good, bad, pleasure and pain, he can just let go and feel because he isn’t the one in charge. Then he wakes up the next morning feeling disgusting and worthless and swears to never do it again.
Still, it helps him forget about his stress, his anxiety and his hopeless crush on his Auror partner so he keeps going back.

Summary
In fact, Ambrosius does just fine at love languages.
(Or: Bal and Ambrosius's first meeting through to after the wall comes down, one love language at a time.)
‘Try gripping it more like—here,’ Ambrosius says, and sheathes his own sword, taking a step closer.
Bal’s about to protest that he’s fine, he doesn’t need help. But Ambrosius’s fingers hover above his on the sword’s hilt, and when he asks, ‘May I?’ suddenly the last thing Bal wants is to tell him no.
He feels so acutely aware of the gentle fingers on his as they adjust his grip carefully on the handle. No one’s ever really been gentle or careful with him before, so he doesn’t know if it’s always like this, like there’s shimmery warmth dancing between them, little pinpoints of electricity everywhere Ambrosius’s fingertips touch his skin.

Summary
James and Thomas are reunited at last.
“It is James. My James,” Thomas said, and his face as he said it made George’s breath catch.
“But how can this be? Can you be mistaken?” George burst out. For this man could not be Thomas’s beloved. Someone less like a principled Naval Lieutenant George could not picture. “Your...he died, did he not? And was a lieutenant in the Royal Navy. This man is…” He looked at the unconscious man on Thomas’s bed and could only think ‘pirate’.

Summary
After Flint had told him about Thomas Hamilton, Silver tried to forget about the matter entirely or, instead, regard it practically: Captain James Flint once had a torrid affair with another man. It was simple, or it should’ve been, but weeks had passed since the revelation and Silver was still thinking of it, an inexplicable discomfort weighing heavy as an anchor on his chest.

Summary
An audio performance of mia_ugly's story (1hr 33min.)
The thing is, when you’re Blackbeard you’ve got kind of a reputation to uphold. When you captain a ship, when you lead a crew, when people look up to you, tell stories, build a legend – parts of that legend are always more accurate than others.
And maybe you just let it slide, some of the things people say. Some of the things they assume. Maybe you swagger around and wear black leather and are a handsy bastard and let the stories tell themselves.
Maybe you don't want to talk about it.

Summary
Stede is divorced, rebuilding a life in the UK and working at Jim's non-profit community centre. His 6-month stay is running out and, well, turns out a fake marriage is an option to stay, because tropes are fun. Ed's got his own shit going on, you'll find out more in later chapters, but he thinks a sham marriage to this weird guy is probably going to at least be a bit of a laugh. Will update weekly.
---
“No, no, absolutely not, Lucius, you didn’t tell me he looked like that!”
“I don’t know what you mean.”
“Lucius!” Stede hisses. “He’s gorgeous, we are not doing this!”
Lucius is saying something but Stede honestly has no idea what it is because blood is pounding in his ears and the pub has almost entirely emptied and this night has very much gotten away from him and the most stunningly beautiful man has just walked in. And Stede has had four glasses of horrible wine and god, all that leather, and Christ almighty, look at his hair. His hair.

Summary
Now that he’d started this, he felt desperate with it: the need to know if he could crawl into the middle of the two of them, find some hidden fracture or fault line to bear down on until it finally cracked down the middle. He’d always been good at breaking things, and Jack Rackham and Anne Bonny were practically begging for it, as whole as they were.
Jack and Anne don’t remember what it’s like to be alone, and Charles just wants to forget.

Summary
Ed is an engineer aboard the Revenge, an interplanetary research vessel on a multi-year mission to study Jupiter's moon Europa. An accident requires that Ed awaken from cryostasis over six months early, and finds his only companion to be Stede, the ship's onboard AI. They develop an unconventional friendship, but is it possible to have more?
This is classic mutual pining with a sci-fi twist, inspired by all of my favorite stories about the nature of personhood.
-----
“You–” Ed was struggling to parse what Stede was saying. “You’re playing your version of this song for me, right now? Like, in real time?”“Yes, Edward, that’s correct,” said Stede softly.
Ed’s brain momentarily seized up. He supposed it made sense that Stede was capable of learning a set of rules to do something like arrange and play a piece of music. There was something unnerving about this song, though. It felt, well–it felt organic . Reactive. Almost collaborative in a way. Ed was lost in the push and pull of it, until the last notes softly petered out.
“So, what did you think?” asked Stede. It sounded nervous again. Why the hell would someone program an anxiety response into a bot?

Lighthouse Bookshop had been there seemingly since time immemorial. Over forty years at that spot, sitting proud, a beacon at the heart of the community, and when the old owner decides to sell, it's the perfect vessel for Stede's odd restlessness.
And the building is connected to a famous cocktail bar run by a mad genius behind the stick.
One problem: Stede's still married.

Summary
“I heard you’re a writer,” Blackbeard says.
There’s a sudden rustling sound as Blackbeard kicks something across the floor. Frenchie bends down to retrieve it, and sees that it’s a notebook. Wide and empty, like that one Lucius used to carry around with him.
“Write us a better ending then.”
(Captain Blackbeard has heard about Frenchie’s ‘bit of fanfiction.’ He asks him to write a better ending for his and Stede’s story. Frenchie tries his best but soon other people want to tell the story the way it should have gone, including Fang, Lucius, Ivan, Jim, and ultimately Ed. In the act of surviving and telling stories together, relationships are considered, examined, and developed. Meanwhile, a ship trailing seagulls grows closer and closer on the horizon.)

Summary
“Anyway,” he continues, “then Ed — that is, Blackbeard, bent over me and said—”“Do the Blackbeard voice!” Wee John exclaims.
“He does voices?” asks Finn, in an awed whisper.
Wee John scoffs. “Of course he does voices. He’s our captain.”
Well. Stede can hardly disappoint, then. He clears his throat and thinks of Ed’s voice: its lower pitch, roughened with a hint of rasp, the heavier tongue that drags his vowels and thickens his consonants. “The Gentleman Pirate, I presume.”
In which Stede accidentally convinces the pirating world that Gentlebeard (or Blackbonnet or Stedward; there's a poll) is canon, reunites his crew, and gets his boyfriend back.
