Armin is a bad friend.
He remembers everyone’s birthday in alphabetical order, he listens intently on what people like and don’t like, and thus has won “Gives-Best-Christmas-Presents” the third year in a row.
Yet still, Armin is a bad friend, because he has had a crush on you ever since you won a mock debate on universal basic income against him two years ago, and that crush never disappeared even though you started dating his best friend, Eren, one year ago. Which doesn’t make Armin bad, but unfortunate, rather.
What makes him bad is that he’s lying in a bed in your guest room, flushed face pressed into the soft pillow while humping the sheets twisted around him in a tight spiral because it smells like you as Eren and you fuck in the next room.

Shiva seemed full of deep care and welcoming embraces, but there was a chill there, in a way that felt like ice on his skin on a hot day. The feeling broke him of his darker ruminations with a jolt at times.
