Summary
Buck’s life is miserable. Why you may ask? Because he filed that stupid lawsuit and listened to stupid Chase Mackey and now his family hates him. Is he back at work? Yes, did the lawsuit work? Sort of. Does he go on calls? Hell no. Bobby told him when he came back that he wouldn’t be allowed to go on calls unless absolutely necessary and to say the very least that hasn’t happened. So for the last two weeks, he’s been staying at the fire station cleaning, doing impossible lists of chores, and all while not getting in the way of his family, if he can even call them that anymore.
Or Buck suffers through another Lawsuit arc, but in the worst way possible...

Summary
As long as Buck can remember, he's always been in foster care. He doesn't remember a time when he wasn't. He's also been in enough foster families to know it's never permanent. No matter the promises made, the people who seem to care, or what his caseworker says, it's always the same. But he can't help but get his hopes up every time. He can't help but try his hardest to make the people around him love him. Maybe it'll work one day. Maybe, one day, he will finally find his people. The people who will love him and never give him up. He can always hope any way.

Evan was just three years old when his parents left him in front of a fire station in Pennsylvania. It was supposed to be a fun family trip over Christmas. That´s what his parents had told him. But then they just left him there. In the middle of the night.
Seven years later after countless foster homes, Evan seems to finally have found a house to stay. With people who want him. But only time will show if Athena and Bobby are really his forever home.

Summary
Bit by bit, Buck stopped.
It began with the little things. First, he stopped checking his phone when he woke up. He used to do it everyday. He’d check for notifications on Chimney’s instagram, or maybe a new message from the 118 group chat. It wasn’t that anyone other than him texted at one in the morning, but sometimes he’d sleep past one of Cap’s old-timey GIFs or whatever.
Sometimes, Athena would text and greet him good morning. And a few weeks into knowing him, Chris would send a morning message begging for help, normally because Eddie was trying to make pancakes again.
So, with everything going on, Buck always made it a point that the moment his eyes opened, he would check his phone.
Until the first week after the lawsuit, and for the seventh day in a row, there wasn’t anything there except a pitfall in Buck’s stomach.
Nothing.
Never.
Not even a quick ‘hello’.
So, Buck ceased checking his phone. After all, why did he even need to?

Summary
After that disastrous dinner with his parents and learning about Daniel, Buck decides to silence his phone for some much-needed alone time. But he forgets just how protective his best friend can be and when Eddie shows up at the loft to check on Buck, he finds him perfectly relaxed, cuddling with a little stuffed cow on his couch.
Will Buck make him leave or will he finally let himself be taken care of? (Spoiler alert: it’s the second one.)

Summary
Bobby Nash wasn’t sure what he had expected from his first foster child. Maybe he thought Evan would be some sort of teenage delinquent. Maybe the kid would think he was too old to be parented or be mean to May and Harry. Maybe he would run away or try to get moved to a different home. Maybe he would be nothing but trouble and make Bobby and Athena regret fostering in the first place. They should have just stuck to the plan and gotten a younger kid like Athena had wanted.
But what Bobby didn’t expect was for the social worker to show up at their house at nine o’clock at night. He didn’t expect for the kid by her side to simultaneously look way too young for 14 and at the same time so much older. Evan was curled in on himself, making him seem far smaller than he should be but the fear and wariness in his eyes was something far too mature for him. Bobby didn’t expect for his first foster child to stand there on his porch, shivering in the pouring rain with nothing but a sweatshirt and a blooming black eye on his face. But what he certainly didn’t expect was for the kid to worm his way into his heart so quickly.
