Summary
First Kill AU! This idea would not leave me alone.
“This is going to sound crazy,” she takes a deep breath, “but I’ve been having visions of you. And I want to know why.”
“That is kind of crazy, because I’ve been having dreams of you,” he takes a small step closer. She lets him.
“You have? What could they mean?”
“That we’re connected somehow?”
“Evidently,” her tone is sharper than it was just a second ago. Victor wonders about the change in demeanour. Something is definitely going on.
“And you think I know more than you do, why?”
Nova takes a step to the side. Victor matches her movement, keeping her in front of him. “Because, it must be your doing.”Title from "VALENTINE" by Måneskin. I feel like the song goes well with this story.

Summary
Did I watch a Disney Channel kids movie and think "I could make the climax more dramatic"? Maybe. The good news is that this got me out of writer's block! So this is the scene about trying to unite the two moonstones but a little less Disney appropriate (nothing too graphic though). And, the magic from the moonstones is less immediate.
“Victor, please. Please open your eyes,” she pleaded. His breathing stuttered. More lighting flashed, and thunder soon followed. The fighting all but stopped. “Please wake up.”
Victor’s breathing worsened. Nova’s tears fell harder.Title from "Dream Come True" from ZOMBIES 4

Summary
If you are familiar with the movie Rio Bravo, I basically stole that plot but with the characters from 9-1-1 Lone Star, and with a few adjustments.
Though this is essentially a period piece, there is absolutely no racism, sexism, or homophobia in this story. The only things are some light period-typical ableism and attitudes towards alcoholism/addiction.
“Well I'm guessin’, you understand, just guessin’, but it seems to me that you’ve already got some trouble around here,” Pat tells him.
“You’re guessing right,” Carlos couldn’t keep a bit of frustration out of his voice.
“It so happens that part of our load there is fuel oil and dynamite. Now, would you like to have that sittin’ next to you?”
“No, I wouldn’t.”
TK spoke up for the first time in a while with an idea, “They could put them over there by the creek, near the Burdette warehouse. If it’s gonna blow, that’s just as good a place as any.”
“Show them the way, Tyler Kennedy. You can go along, Mateo,” Carlos tells the two.
“Is that the way you want it, Mr. Wheeler?” Mateo asks his boss.
Carlos and Pat share a look. Pat fails at fighting back his smile when he tells Mateo, “Go ahead,” with a wave of his hand. -

Summary
As TK got ready for bed, Carlos continued his search. There were some absolutely awful cases of corruption in the rangers that his dad was following, with most of them settled through long internal investigations. He was incredibly proud of his father, even if he still had his issues with the Texas Rangers as a whole.
“Goodnight, baby,” TK said from the doorway of their room.
“Goodnight, sleep well. I love you.”
“I love you too,” he replied, shutting the bedroom door halfway.
Carlos spent the next couple hours sorting through notes and pictures and adding his own. Even if that first lead was less than a breakthrough, it gave him something. He just had to piece together a few more details before he would have a lead he could follow. He could feel how close he was.
At around 1:30, he heard light footsteps in the hallway that paused outside his door, then a shuffling sound. He carefully and quietly got up and went to the door. The footsteps retreated._____
After receiving a letter threatening TK, Carlos must break up with him and give up on his dad's murder case to keep TK safe.

My take on how the house fire could have gone differently. (A major change is that investigator Raymond does not kill himself after revealing there are more fires set up.)
_____“Oh, you think he made another stop,” Grace surmised.
“I just can’t help but think the firehouse and precinct were diversions from the real thing,” Owen told her.
“So what’s the main event?” Judd asked.
“I don't know. Right before he set the precinct on fire, he said he would take away what was most important to me.” Owen recalled.
“Oh, you thought he said that to you? Where I was sittin’ it looked like he was talking to Reyes,” Billy sounded not judgemental, but confused.
A horrible realization dawned on Owen. “He was talking to us both.”
