Summary
Geordi was wired for engineering, for coaxing things apart and back together again in his hands. He loves the same way he builds and rebuilds and repairs, the way he talks to the ship's computer and climbs without hesitation into the warp drive chamber and runs manual diagnostics with slow, warm touches once a month even though Data could do it himself, even though it could wait until he identified something wrong. The same way his fingers twist into Data's uniform when he beams back up to the ship after a mission gone awry and the same way he kisses Data's hands when they have time to relax, his knuckles and his palms and his fingertips, his inner wrists.
Data will spend the rest of his life continuing to learn how to speak with touches as Geordi does so effortlessly if it will keep him this happy.
Or: Geordi is ticklish, Data is interested, and sex is better when it's with somebody you know how to love.
